Actually I'm pretty new to wepsmithing too and wouldnt mind any guidence from more experianced wepsmiths. I'll always open threads like this one to see if anybody offers any constructive advice.

why the heck would I want to go to trade forrums to to get input for weapon related questions like this?

The only thing you see on trade forrums is price wars for the most high end weps.

he isn't trying to trade anything, he is just wondering how to price something. Bro, all i can tell you is go by a couple of Weaponsmith Vendors in your area and check to see how your weapons compare to his/hers. And price accordingly. There is no real set price range for weapons in this game. Not like docs who pretty much have set a 10k standard for buffs. If you put a price on something, and it doesn't sell, then you know 1) either your price is too high or 2) your weapons aren't up to par with others.

Yup, I know the rules, but to me, im here to help as much as I can, he asked a question i gave him an answer, And yes he could have gotten his answer in his trade forums, which by the looks of those forums, not many answers coming out there. Unless your putting some uber weapon up for trade. How about actually helping people a little bit, not pointing out rules to the WEAPONSMITH forums.

There was a thread a while back in regards to pricing.

Depending whether you used excellent resources (or dropped items, like Geonosian Sword Cores/Reinforced Cores, Cubes, etc) ... your price will vary. (I know if I were to use a dropped item that I found cheap, I would adjust my price accordingly).

Depending on the quality ... You could go... 10c/u, 25c/u up to 50c/u for the really good stuff.

There was another post (fellow Starsider WS I think, haha) that said that he priced his based along weapon tiers... Think he priced high damage weapons (commando and such) 10k+ ....

Look through the past postings, and you'll see what I mean. I can't edit posts, bleeeh.

I only do melee and harvest all my own stuff. I usually sell all my stuff on the bazaar at 6k.

This is not neccessarily a trade issue. There is no problem with new weaponsmiths asking advice on how much they should charge for the goods that they sell. He's not trying to sell them. He's trying to get a comparison. The advice he shoould be getting is shop around and see what the other smiths charge. Seeing that the trade forms are pretty much useless for such information his question is an appropriate use of this forum.
