Thread: SWG Academy of Bio Tecnology Dedicated to gathering knowledge about the crafting of clones

i will also make a thread with this info in... as this is 6th page and i wonder if someone read all this far.

...Don't worry...lots of us are still trying to figure out the system as well. I share your thoughts about my inbreeding experiments. I've found that when I sample my HQ-DNA-based clone, I get AA DNA more than HQ...this would suggest an overall downgrade. Yet others have commented that they've refined things such as kinetic resistance. For now, I'm sticking to 1st generation wild DNA until we figure out what's going on here
.
Talthazar: great thread title, and excellent discussions. Fun, fun, fun!
Ill put up some of what I have found so far. First I had this theory that it is the CL of the dna which is driving the CL of the creation. Well this is not necessarily true. I put in CL44 DNA into a gurreck recipe and got a CL high 30's creature. This was very interesting. So then I decided to test the idea that the DNA quality influences CL. So I made a Kimo with 2 bull rancor, 2 rancor, and 1 gaping spider recluse DNA in it, all VHQ/HQ and got a CL53 Kimo. I then did another with AA DNA with mostly rancor but some rancor youth and maybe 1 spider recluse in it, and got a CL41 Kimo. So I expect to get that CL70 kimo, you need to have VHQ DNA from high level creatures. My present feel is the CL is capped at the DNA mean if you use all VHQ dna. Poor quality DNA will spike the Template. So Save all the VHQ stuff for things you are trying to jack up in CL, and use all of the AA stuff for the NCH pets.
A test I would like to see is some novice go out there with rancor DNA of the poor standard and see what CL you can get out.
I did a few NCH pet runs with the recluse DNA in the aggression slot, and got strong poison 2 as the attack 2. I moved it to the physique slot (all of these involve 4 trash dna from tattoine (eg worrts))+ the 1 recluse DNA. Anyway the phyique slot gave me upped resistance but no special. I think I'll repeat this again with each of the 5 positions.
On one of these NCH runs, I took the DNA into my 41% station and experimented up the template, and got a CL14 gurrcat. Then I did a craft without a station on both the DNA and the clone in the field (no bot either) and got a CL10 gurrcat. I got a 9 too doing this. So experimentation with bonuses seems to push up the CL.
Here are some of the combines I wrote down, nothing is that amazing
Using lvl 6 station on probot in field with 14% tools.
Nox = noxious kamurith CL46, no armor dizzy/strong poison
Recl = gaping spider recluse CL44, light armor, poison spray and strong poison
KWI= rhoa kwi hunter CL43 no armor, stun, dizzy
Gurr= gurreck CL50 (old style)
1. spat model : physique vhqrecl dna 54% experiment, prowess HQ noxi 44% exp, mental AA nox 51%, psych VHQ kwi 38%, agg recl AA 45% experiment. Great success on combine yields CL41 spat with no specials and light armor.
2. spat model: physique AA recl 54%expt, prow AArecl 44%expt, ment AA kwi 32%expt, psych AA nox 39% expt, agg AA recl 44% expt, great success combine, CL27 spat no armor, special 2 = strong poison
3. kimo model: physique AA recl 51% expt, prow vhq kwi 50% expt, ment HQ nox 50% expt, psych vhq gurr 52% expt, agg hq recl 41% expt. Great success on combine, CL40 kimo no armor, sp2=dizzy
4. narglatch model: physiq HQ nox 54%, prow AA nox 53%, ment HQ recl 40%, psych HQ nox 35%, agg HQ recl 43%, great success CL37 narglatch with light armor and sp2=strong poison
Pick em apart if you will. I think Ill be a bit more systematic in reporting. Do think people should report the template experimentation levels too for the data.

the floral and meat dosent matter in quality or anything according to the scematic anyways when creating the creature
I don't know that your crafting components don't make a difference...I wonder about the rate of crit fails with poor flora and meat...Guess I'm too uncomfortable with using low quality stuff for the moment
.
just a 3-1-3-3 BE here,
but I seem to have a greater failure rate w/ low quality meats (i assume veggies might be the same, but i ve been using the same goapa beans for everything so far....)
also ANY second gen stuff that i try is really junk....but AA is the best wild sample im getting rt now....
GREAT thread, guys
I thought I would put all my current test up in a single post for convinience.

If I was a web master I guess I could make a site but just doing what I am doing now consumes more time than I currently have. I freely give permission to anyone to reproduce my findings if it will help our community.

Dribbles,
continuing on the previous thought of what Special Attacks pass through to final. I was surprised to find that on my latest test that the SA2 from aggression did not pass through to final SA2.
It was in fact the SA2 from Phych that went to final. The key difference here is the quality of the sample in the slot. (yes, I know it is not the size but the quality) The Aggression slot was only average while the Physch slot was high Q. When you look at the sheet you will see that none of the other 3 slots had anything in SA2.

i think im going to make a rule of thumb to never use less than high quality stuff for phys/mind/aggression in order to ensure things stick properly.. right now, i'm trying and failing at making a high cl thing (havn't found too many really high cl things to sample lately, so im in a rut) so i've only been using vhq stuff in all my attempts at good clones to make sure stupid little things don't happen.. ie: not getting a SA due to too low of a dna sample...
note that: if you sample a bunch of 1 thing, toss the hq or vhq samples into the clone... you'll get something that's fairly better with lower cl. atleast this is how mine have been... in order to get a higher level thing, you need to toss in a much higher level sample..
i'm wondering if you can manipulate the phys special attack (remove it) by using a lower quality sample... considering how things sticking seems to require acertain amount of a stat...

Aggression slot will give both specials if the final template has armor. If the final has no armor, it seems that Aggression gives Special 1 and Mental gives Special 2. Not sure on that yet, but every armored pet I have made got specials from Aggression slot only.
I think you are close here. But if you look at my results they differ a bit.

The SA1 in Mental and Aggression passed to final. Not sure which one actually did.
But, The SA2 in Aggression is what passed through to final not Mental.
There was no AR on this test.
Thanks for your post as it gave me a clue how to start a test on special attacks.
