try dropping the mission and starting again. I think to drop those older missions you need to get a different quest(any other quest giving npcs, like commoners), and when it asks 'you are still working for someone else' say you'll do thier mission anyway.

Now before you all jump down my throats. I have searched, read the FAQ etc.
I sorted out my new Heavy X-wing lst night. My original, was in the 5th slot on my managment terminal, and when i generated the new one, it was in the 5th slot 
so I wouldn't have been able to texture it. I could remember that there was a method for getting the ship to the top of the list so that you can paint the blighter.

I could remember that there was a method for getting the ship to the top of the list so that you can paint the blighter.As far as I could see, from using search, you launch, hype, land, log and then log back in, to find the ship at the top o' the list. I got this from Pace in a post he made a while back. But the thing wont do it for me. Am I doing something wrong? Have they canged it so you can't shift you ships to paint them again?
If someone could clear up what I'm missing, i would be most happylishush.

How long did you log out for?
Hasn't really worked for me recently either. But usually texturing the ship is the problem for me, not painting it.
If it still isn't working you can try deeding it and regenerating it, that might fix it.

try setting the auto-sort for your datapad on/off
you may need to rename your ship also to get it moved, the logout trick doesen't work for me either

Thanks, I'll try that tonight. I had to "scrap" my A-wing and Y-wing to get it to the 3rd spot, not as If I used them anyway, but that's not the point. I use it a lot, and want it near the top
