Ok guys and gals of the creature sampling world i'm starting to become a full fledged master BE and understanding the ways of the Masta . (joking aside) The question I have was actually posed by another BE and it kind of stuck with me and also corresponded to another question I have. Can we as BE's sample special critters like the Peko Peko albatross, Giant Dune Kimo, and the Gurk king. I tried sampling the albatross about 4 times and failed on each attempt. Also are the creatures in the geo caves unsampleable as well. I tried nearly 7 times on an enhaced kwi and failed every time. Also did it on the klikniks and to no avail. The only creature I successfully sampled there at the caves was the cavernspiders.

Nobody hasreported to have gotten a successful sample for any creature above CL 75in the new sampling system. Most believe this is a "hard" cap. I'm all for challenging this assumption, but I'd suggest being mindful of the CL of the creature you are sampling, and setting your expectations accordingly.

ya I guess so. Also 1 question I forgot to ask is I sampled a mantrigue screecher and it had an unusual attack called plague strike and another one called Unknown attack and neither of those attacks transfered to my pet that I managed to create. Is this intended to prevent ubber pets or is it just something thrown in for now?

Exactly. If we could craft pets with that sort of stuff imagine how devasting it would be to CH world. Imagine a cl10 pet with plague strike? It would devaste pvp and negate the need for creature handlers.

I'll worry about creature handlers becoming obsolete when someone comes up with a recipe for a level 10 animal with AR1 and resists to everything.

Really the only thing or way you could possible even see for a CL10 pet with armor is a low end pet probably like a gnort or a squal with near 50 action and mind then about 2 to 3k HAM. Even then like you guys say it would add +10 lvls to the pet making it lvl 15.

well, no, with most nonCH recipes you get CL10 in 2-3 gens...in 4-5 max you can get it down to CL5 and still preserve a few K in each HAM bar. The CL2 min level is the lowest we can go though, so CL12 would be the best you could hope for with armor -assuming there is just a straight 10 CLs added for AR1.

ive tried, i couldnt get armour on anything lower than cl15 - armour adds 10 levels onto a pet it would seem so unless you have a recipe for a CL0 pet, i think its pretty safe.

8 levels? so it is thereotically possible to clone a cl10 pet with light armour?

Theoretically... probably, maybe - why not try?

AFAIK there is no hard + level for having light armour
