Thread: NPC Fishing?

I was in a group last week, and someone messaged asking if anyone was interested in buy some Fish that he had looted. I regret not grabbing it now, but he said it was a few hundred units of Fish meat that he had gotten from his Mokk/Janta missions (unsure if he was specific) I was focused on getting my Agitator motor and not interested enough to leave Lok and test, but have any BEs run into these drops? I know part of the revamp has been to vary and increase the resource stacks form some NPCs, but does anyone think Fishing from Mokks could be as fast/faster way to get meat?

doubt it could be faster - the chance of looting a stack of fish off of an NPC is probably still pretty low, and you have to factor in time spent in combat and transit, as opposed to fishing where all you do is fish =) Less boring, definitely, but probably not faster. Also, you can get better stats on your fish by picking whatever planet has a good spawn; with NPCs, you're stuck with whatever's spawning there at the moment.

I don't know about fish and Mokks, but I do know that I've gotten 4k of eggs from ewoks in the last week. It's pretty fast to harvest from them. Eggs drop about 1in9 nd you get between 180 and 300 eggs.

Woah, that's a lot of eggs from an Ewok. I got some mullosk meat off an NS Slave the other day.

Ah! so THAT explains why suddenly in the last couple of weeks I've been able to buy unusually large stacks of fish on the bazar for virtually free. The other day I got a stack of 900+ very high quality fish and I just could't imagine somebody actually fishing for that long, then giving it away virtually for free.

Possible. Mokks are dropping an array of organics now. I've looted fish, berries, wheat, and horn from mokks, all in the 100-300 units range. Last night on my server someone was selling a 1k stack of dantooine horn, which I can only assume came from a few mokk loot drops. If you know someone who routinely takes mokk missions for credits/xp, I don't think it would hurt to have them hang on to whatever fish they end up with.

he didnt harvest the ewoks if thats what you are thinking. they are npcs and he got the eggs as loot so it doesnt matter if they are mammals or not.

i dont think he was joking about them being mammals. a lot of ppl do not even know ewoks are npcs. a lot of ppl do not fight them or visit them otherwise.
