Thread: The community came together and suceeded Lets do the same for the Bio Engineers
dev 2: "They cancelled! All the Bio-Engineers cancelled."
dev 1: "Oh. But there weren't that many. Will we have donuts tomorrow?"

I inadvertently cancelled Dor for a few hours today by forgetting to update my credit card info - does that count? ![]()
so... looks like that'd be what, eleven of us? (when in doubt, I always default to the number eleven, or the less specific 'eleventeen')

I just installed swg after 6 months, still dl'ing patches.
I was a BE from start and allways stayed BE. Its amazing, i have been scanning excitetly everytime new patch came for notes on proffesion Bio engineer, but i cant remember seeing it since one time back about when bikes came about.
As long as i recall, there has been problems with BE: pet creation, way to harsh ressource requirements, meat in particular, tapes not working on BE, and not least the problem with the need for camuflage/mask scent to sample propor DNA.
From the sound on fora, its seems i'm in for some learning about all this lvls on mobs and other sampling related changes. Hope i can find room somewhere for a veteran BE ![]()

I think the gist of the post is that:
- Nothing (really) in BE works like we'd like it to.
- The change in xp gained was protested by the SWG community by cancelling accounts and writing over 200 PAGES of protest and it WORKED.
- Therefore - if we want BE to work we should do the same.
- BUT ... there are so few of us, nobody cares.
I think it is a tongue-in-cheek post commenting on the political power of BE's (ie. none) and should be taken as such. And a darn funny post it was as well.
And I haven't cancelled my account and I don't really think anyone else has either over this ...

Welcome back Niksen! ... Most important points are (for pet making):
1. armor doesn't matter anymore - i mean it does but the game self-adjusts it after the CH tames and calls it so really you can stick anything on for armor and it doens't matter ... which leads to ---> craft armor low for higher power/health.
2.same as 1 for to hit and the defense values.

otherwise the new system is like a truncated and made simple version of the last pet crafting system ... high hardiness/low fortitude DNA is found on elites of all levels which you can see by the < name > tags around their name. Actually high hardiness/low fortitude DNA is found on kashyyyk in all animals as far as i have experienced, not just the elites.

We can now predict the combat level fairly accurately and have a tool to do it with. Lots of recipes floating around as well.
