I have a customer who has requested I attempt to make a lvl 10 with 3k/3k/3k and some kinetic. Closest I was able to come was 3.6/3.2/2.7 lvl 11 w/5% KR after a 2nd generation combine of VD and NS. Seems like whenever I get the mind too high the lvl goes up and because the health stays pretty low around 3k the kinetic never experiments up.

I spent around 2 hours collecting the DNA sampling, experimenting, no failures and came up short. Because its only a lvl 10 the customers is not willing to pay much so at this point its a matter of trying to please this person and myself.

Any help or recipes would be appreciated.

Thanks

Explain to your customer that you dont need even HAMs for PvE.

Health is going to get hit the most followed by action then mind.

The simple VD, VD, HP, HP, HP combo can yield you between 6k/3k/2k HAMs to 4k/3k/1-2k HAMs with 14% kinetic.

This pet will last longer **and** be more useful then the 3k/3k/3k with 5% kinetic.

I have never had any of my pets incapped via loss of mind.... I was a MCH for 3 months... always Health and maybe once action...

Anyhow, set your customer straight

I have bought gurreck with 11khealth 5k action and 3k ham also with 60% kinetic and I want to recreate that - how do I go about it?

Not to hijack a thread, but, being a newbie I'm wondering..

What the heck is VD, NS & HP???

I take it your talking about some species whom you sample and set up in a foruma as such, but what are they.

Also, I am currently 1/0/2/1, can any of you experts gimme some ideas on what to sample at my skill level for good results and xp? Thanks.

Oh and good luck on the lvl10 pet! The only pet I've made with 3k HAM was a lvl17 Dewback who had 31% kinetic resist, soI respect how hard it must be to make such a creature lvl10.

Thanks NancyJ, I take it these are 3 good creatures to get DNA from? So far I've just been running all over tat trying to find good DNA. So far the best thing I've found was Mountain Worrts lol. Now that I have Sampling II I spose it's time to move to an advanced planet

I have to agree with all the above. Head to Dantooine (the northern outpost is my usual hunting ground), sample as many Voritor Dashers and Huurton Pups as you can. Mix VD/VD/HP/HP/HP with 500-550 OQ resources and don't experiment too much. As Master I put no more than 5 or sometimes 6 points into Phys and Prowess, experimenting each up to 3 dots and I almost never fail to make 6.5/4.5/1.5K HAM creatures with 14 Kinetic. Usually it's using high OQ resources that push the level up to 11.

I actually made a 3k/3k/3k HAM template the other day that was QL10. No kinetic resist so I put it into one of those little cats you get at novice I'm only 1/0/2/1 so far so I have little idea how I did it lmao. Think most the DNA was from Mountain Worrts hehe.

I'm starting to realize how to do different things, like what stats to look for each slot in a template, how to get specials I want. Like I know what experimenting on Prowess does, but I still have no clue how to figure out what QL a creature will turn out being, or what the other experimentations will do besides adjust HAM.. lol, but I'm having fun I guess thats what counts.

The quality of the resources in NO WAY affects the pet combine. If you want to ensure that you're formula pets never go over CL10, use VD, HP, HP, VD, HP instead. You can max Phys and put a point in Prowess to produce CL10 every time.

Agreed. The meat and flora have absolutely no affect on the final clone's stats.

I've found that just 5 desert squills with no experimentation works at about level 8 or 9 with okay HAM. Since I'm also TKA I can even pull these missions and get plenty of the DNA.

I'd like to highlight the 2 statements of "I spent around 2 hours" and then, the statement "Because its only a lvl 10 the customers is not willing to pay much"

I'll leave the first comment alone, but I'll comment on the second. The statement should actually be "Because it can be used by a nonCH the customer should be willing to pay more". To me, CL10's and below get different pricing structure, because the customer does not need any additional skill point investment to use it.

So far, all the comments have been accurate, Voritor Dashers are good, and Health, then Action are more important than Mind. I haven't made pets in a long time (although I made primarily nonCH pets), but I found swgcreatures.com invaluable in trying to find good dna with the right resists and vulnerabilities, with good stats.

This is kinda difficult to justify though isn't it? When a creature like Voke mentioned can be made with dna that is very easy to get, I just can't see shaking all the change out of someones trousers over such a pet (if you're talking about one of the 10k HAM 60% kinetic, 400 damage ones at CL 10 that's a whole separate discussion). And then of course you need to be mindful of the competition, namely droid engineers and their pricing.
