i knew a list like this would be important to us at some point so here is a list of known special attacks that iwas able to find accompaniedby my descriptions.

please post if you can confirm any of the (?)'s.

Blinding Strike - state Blind

Dizzy Strike - state Dizzy

Stunning Strike - state Stunned

Intimidation - state Intimidated

Crippling Strike - posturedown one level

Knockdown - postureKnocked Down

Bleed - state Bleeding

Open Wounds - DoT wound or just single wounding (?)

Mild Poison - state Poisoned (weak)

Medium Poison - state Poisoned (medium)

Strong Poison - state Poisoned (strong)

Poison Spray - state Poisoned (AoE)

Mild Disease - state Diseased (weak)

Medium Disease - state Diseased (medium)

Strong Disease - state Diseased (strong)

Plague Strike - AoE disease or combo disease/poison (?)

*Force Blow - (?)

*Force Blow only came up on Giant Kimo when i searched, so that one might be impossible to use, but Bordok Mares have Force Strike, so that one is possible.i am pretty sure that both of these are AoE, do damage, and apply multiple states. if anyone knows for sure, please help out.

Area Combo - (?)

this may be another one we cant use. i searched for it and only 2 creatures came up: Peko Peko Albatross and Ancient Bull Rancor.

open wounds is ae bleed

plague strike is ae disease

force strike is ae dizzy i think not 100% sure

kaustix said that ancient bull rancors have Area Combo and Open wounds and that they do area disease and bleed. if Open Wounds is the area bleed then part of Area Combo might be area disease. theres probably more to it, though it wont matter if we cant use it.

i know the giant dune kimogilas have plague strike and area combo if thats any help. area combo has dizzy and some other status effects but i dont remember them all - none of them ae damagethough. seems to be more of a generic multiple specialfor the creatures that are supposed to be exceptionally challenging.

This is a bleeding effect which is derived from the wounds you have, if you have no wounds then this attack does nothing.

Yeah it's the disease version of poison spray. Meaning it's AoE.

I'd fairly sure these are a knockdown/dizzy combo. Quite potent. The Force blow is AoE I think.

There's also combo strike and combo area. These cause blinding, stun and dizzy all at once. The combo area naturally is the area effect version. There's also dizzy area and disease area found on Albatross and giant dune kimogila ( well one of the bigger kimos)

Tal-N is correct about the two Force specials. Dizzy and Knockdown, with Blow being AoE. (I have inadvertantly tested both of these out...)

Just be aware that even though some of these are available on creatures we can sample, doesn't mean we can get them on clones. Plague strike is on bull rancors, but I have yet to be able to get it on a clone. Same with Open wounds and poison spray. I wasn't surprised about poison spray, All pets with AOE effects were removed from the game a while ago. Seeing what plague strike does it makes more sense now that I couldn't get it on a clone. Not sure what to think about the open wounds unless the bleed it causes is too powerful?

being the only recipient of Area combo in my guild i can tell you this much:

It gives you all stat mods: dizzy, stun, intimidate, etc. cept for disease/poison

It is AOE, and a big area too, i had to have been at least 60m from the albatros and i got hit with it.

didnt hurt me at all tho.

we should not have this one available to us.

If they expect BEs to be able to compete with wild animals then I would seriously expect all of the specials to work, the Mantigrue screecher has plague strike for example and now produces babies so this had better not be a repeat case of the CHs having an advantage over bio-engineers when it comes to selling pets.

grelgen, as i stated before i couldnt find any creatures that have it low enough to sample, so thats not really an issue. if there was a creature low enough to sample with it it would only make sense for us to have it. i hope theyresolve the issue blocking us from addingAoEattacks.
