Ok.. so your having trouble selling a carrionspat? Can't give away your tissues? Well ... I've got a little guide for you!

My personal success has catapaulted me to the top of my PA in money and demand for my product.

The first stepis to set up vendors for Tissues, Stimpacks, Mounts and Creatures.

Second step is to stock them with the highest quality goods around! Stock every single creature you can make. Stock every tissue you can make. Stock every mount you can make and give them a sub-title name"Mount" eg. Kaadu Mount. Stock crates of Stimpacks and Medpacks.

Third step.. Advertise! Advertise! Advertise! Scream the location of your new shop in every major city! Plug your vendors every chance you get!

Thats as simple as it gets.. Soon.. you'll be making millions.

BEproduct is in very high demand! Gain customers by providing a constant source for your product and the word travels!

Don't sell personally.. guide them to your vendor. Don't sell on the bazzar, you shouldn't be selling for prices that low anyway! Don't haggle, you're prices are clearly stated! And remember, everything will sell!

A few problems I ran into..... finding a merchant to man my vendor.. people not pressing the "next" button to see all 7 pages of my creatures... keeping up with the sales... and thats it!

I made over 7 million the day mounts were released! AllI did was travel from city to city and advertise my vendor..

Hope this helps for all those BE out there who don't know what to do..

Not to be a sourpuss, but the reason you made 7 million credits is due to the players out there being clueless about how BE pets work. As a MCH i saw hundreds of tells after the patch hit all asking me to train peoples pets to be mountable, and the majority of these were players who had just bought a BE made kaduu/spat off the bazaar or vendor and were trying to figure out why they couldnt ride the thing. Theres no warning label that BE's could put on that says "must be 60% grown to ride, must be transfered to a High level CH to train as mount and then transfered back to you". These people were pretty pissed to say the least and unfortunately they are going to blame BE's for the missunderstanding, im not blaming you, BE's were screwed with what they have to work with. There were some people that came prepared and had a transferable pet ready and waiting and those were happy(even if i rarely ever got even a tip for my time).

Other than that you have a very informative post for making cash in the BE world.

Actually you can put in the description for the pet deed the animals still must be grown to 60%. Honestly most people don't read the descriptions anyway. A businessman can only do so much to educate their customer. Ultimately its the responsibilityofthe customer to educate themselves for the products they wish to purchase.

7 mil is a ton of money I must say and kudos for that with no sarcasm intended. Now that you're a squillionaire you can afford to chase after that FS slot

Wish I could rip off people and then come to the forums to brag about it. I had no less than 10 people come to me with dewback that don't have the transfer command that are useless to them now. They are dabblers who won't ever train high enough to get transfer and they can't trade them to people to train for them. So they basically had their money stolen from them.

guys for the macroed bioengineer making 7 million credits is sort of a validation for them - despite taking short cuts and not really understanding what they are doing its a meaningfulstamp of approval. plus when you are a really good salesman and can convince creature handlers to use vitality packs to heal regular wounds youve created a whole new market that only you supply - thats the way to really make some money.

How do you keep enough resources in supply?

I've been master for a while and the best way I've found to make money without shouting in front of the starport is twofold.

1.keep your vendor stocked, it doesn't always have to be full of every variation possible, but keep something in it and always keep updating it. People will keep checking up just to see what is new. If you can train pets for people go ahead, if not maybe you know a Ch with transfer who doesn't mind getting some extra exp and a few bucks by having his name listed in your shop as a possible trainer.

2. offer a return policy on mechandise, advertise this and buy back unused pet deeds, they can offer them back to your vendor. Most players don't understand what BE's do, and there are a lot of misconceptions. And what people don't understand they usually don't trust, this will take the sting out of purchases for them, and they will come back for more. I have a lot of Master Ch's with money to burnwho buy from me, and are always looking for something new and unusual or just want to take another shot at taming the Kimo, without having to suck up the cost if they fail.

These two rules will make your shop interesting and trustworthy, two things which help a shop in the long run.

Also if you can decorate the place, that is a bonus as well. Right now I just moved so my stuff is still packed up, but things like Krayt skulls, critter statues, and brik a brak galore draws in newbs who might not buy stuff but keep the place busy.

Give me a break dude, he didn't rip off anyone. He offered a product, one that was obviously in demand, and sold it to alot of people. They got exacyly what they paid for, a creature that will be a mount. Granted there is some growth needed for the pet to get to "mountable" size but they will be able to be mounts. He didn't defraud them or misinform them or do anything underhanded to rip them off. Just good business if you ask me. Lighten up.

or I could speak slower for you nightshift.

A non ch that has a ch creature will never be able to use it for a mount because they can't give it to anyone to train it as a mount and they will never be able to train it for themselves. An ethical businessman would attach some sort of disclaimer.

I just try to be very polite and nice to everyone. Answer any questions that I can for them and I am always as honest as I can be. I have told people who wanted a BE pet that they would be better off contacting a CH for a GSP, Cowardly Gurreck, Graul, etc.

The only pets I sell on a regular basis are Rancors and Gurrecks, because honestly these are our one CL of pets that outdo what CH can go tame. I would say most of my customers are MCH or Master Tailors.

I do constantly make Pet stims, pet vitpacks and crates of tissues. About once each 2 weeks I make a few Rancors/Gurrecks to sell, then make mounts with leftover DNA based on its quality and stats for what type of mount it goes into.

I won't make non-ch pets, unless its a friend. I won't do a Tissues order if its under 1 full crate in size. I don't do mounts on request, I just make mounts when I happen to be making Rancors. Just the way I run my own business and thoughts

I believe very strongly about informing the customer of impending doom. There is absolutely no way I would put a Kimo on a vendor. Having said all that.... At what point is dev responsible? Why do they create all these pitfals. There is no place to give the people infomation on a vendor. 9 out of 10 people dont even know that to find pets, you go to misc, then generic to find them. Since it is a BE vendor, why does it not have 5 categories....

Pets

Pet Stims and vitality paks

Tissues for Tailors

Tissues for Chefs

Other

Pets should be broke down.. CH or non CH... and the CL visible on the main screen.. Why? because it does not matter what the price is, if they can not use it.

There should be options to add information anywhere I want on the vendor.

And yes, it is true, a CH with 1-1-0-0 will buy a Dewback, tame it and then wonder where the transfer command is. It is not our job to know their profession better than they. I buy back anything that is not tamed.. but once tamed.. they own it.

Every couple days, I have a non ch ask me if I sell Gurrecks.

Have you ever looked at the help screen in this game or tried to figure out the antiquated manual?

When the mounts came out on patch day,why was there not a tab someplace that people could click on and find out what they needed to know?

Is the pet level, the "difficulty level" like it is in the data pad.. or is it the CL "creature level" that we speak of here? and if it is CL 18, why does it say 1?

Once you "tame" a Kaadu, why can you not ride it? oh, I can tame it, but not train it?

I really do feel sorry for the CH's that had to field all the questions... But please... if dev would have done their homework, I would not have had to change my "tag" that day to "explorer". "no more tells!!!!!". "Is there a stealth button?" Why can't dev do anything completely right? There is absolutely no commitment to get it done right the first time. Merely release and fix. Why can I sell Kimos? Why do I have Kimos? For furniture? Please.

I have no problem with people selling a ch a ch pet like a dewback. My statement was concerning people selling ch pets to non ch'ers I just view that is being dishonest. IMHO I wouldn't buy anything from a BE that wasn't also a CH or at least they should be partnered with a CH, because in my experience BE/CH almost always take more pride in their work.
