They always start pushing out the files early with them not used until the actual date of release. It help to break up the download times.

IF this is what they're doing, that's all it is IMHO.

I'm going to give them one month to at least make an attempt at fixing what's broken on TC. If no sign at all after then, see you guys in some other game.

I really hope that they aren't seriously considering deploying to production a system that isn't fully tested, still has many bugs, and hasn't even begun to address some issues. In a perfect world, they have something else up their sleeve...

As a programmer, I'm beyond surprised that this is going live now. I've never worked with a development team that pushed out code like this to production. Yikes!

Ok.. rant over. Hopefully, in a month they'll have started to pay attention to the non-combat profs, and there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

This is seriously shockingly awful. Did they ever do anything to pet creation? Is it just going to be totally broken? Like, seriously. I guess we're paying to be beta-testers now?

Unfortunate as it is I've seen this before on a project. Marketing makes promises that the developers simply cannot uphold. I know of two software companies that went down in flames for this exact reason, I worked for one of them. I hope SWG isn't goin gto go that way, but I think I'll start collecting alternate methods of contacting people none the less. Sad really.

And it can't be said any plainer than this, from the new Director of Community Relations: "I am very excited about what is coming for this already fun game. Combat Upgrade is coming tonight and the next expansion comes along next week ( I can't wait to see Kashyyk)."

Like it or not, it's a change we have to make. I just wish they had made an attempt at fixing crafted pets before doing so. I can't help but think medium armor is deliberate until they get around to it, to stop people from making unbalancing critters until they have the rest of combat balanced. Of course, it's that type of implementation, no matter how temporary, that usually generates flaws in the design.

Good thing I didn't preorder the exp yet. Atleast now I will get the chance to see if it will be worth buying or save my money for another game.
