Thread: Are the tissues actually worth.... ?!?
So are these tissues created using Milk actually worth the 1 million credit price tag on a stack of 25 milk? Am I even going to come close to making back that money when I sell the product? Not to mention that 1 million will only go for one chance at one tissue.
What do you all think?

In my never-humble opinion...no. They're not worth wasting your time finding milk, either by buying it or looting it yourself. All the +Taming Vicious/Wild Creatures does is make it easier to tame and train what you can already tame and train. It does not let a Creature Handler tame or train or pull out any creature of a level higher than they could while not wearing +Taming clothes.
If a CH would find it worth their time/money to have clothing that would decrease the failure rate for taming and training clothes, cool. But I don't think most of them would find that in the least bit interesting.
It was an expensive lesson for me (700k for the milk that I made +17/+17 taming tissues out of), but at least I learned from it. And now I know to never bother again.
BraccusD, are you referring to a Skill Enhancement Attachment tape that was looted from an NPC and dropped into a clothing socket after the clothing item's creation, or a bio-engineered tissue that was included as an optional component in the creation of a Synthetic Cloth panel and thereafter made into an item of clothing?
Since you say +2 and boots, I have to assume it's the former. This is a totally different ball o' wax than what we can make with milk.
I have worn two items of clothing totalling +34 taming vicious & wild creatures when I still had CH skills, and was not able to tame a CL 30 bol deed that was just out of my reach (I was able to tame CL 25 non-aggro critters, and bol are non-aggro, i.e. not viscious). (And yes, I know that +25 is the cap to all skill mods. I had on a shirt and pants with +17 tissues in each.)
I never said the milk was worth it. A guy last night wanted to know if I was interested in buying milk from him and I told him to take a hike (I didn't even ask the price). Tal is right, you should remind people that want these that this will all become moot when CH changes come. For now I'm just glad I can stay a CH 2 2 0 0 and use a mauler tho without it costing me a thing. All I was saying is that, yes, there is a benefit to a specific type of CH tho small. And I'm proud to be one of the dabblers causing the nerf (although I would really not want the master CHs to get nerfed).
As has been noted, the BE CH mod tissues don't have any impact on the max level of creatures you can tame. It just increases the chance of being successful when trying to tame a creature that you already have the skill for. While handy, it's really not worth that price unless you're boredand havemoney to burn.
i dont understand how the CH changes will make this tissue more or less effective.
and the answer to the question in the subject line is: yes they are worth millions of credits - to some people, otherwise they wouldnt sell for millions. if you are asking what they normally go for, the answer is they dont normally go. milk is such a pain to gather that supply curve is practically vertical. im not saying its respectable business practices to sell one for millions (not that i wouldnt if someone offered me that), but at that supply they are simply worth "highest offer."
But are people willing to pay millions for something like a Spec-Ops duster made with Bio-Enginered Fiber panels, especially with decay in the game. Does it really give millions of credits worth of advantage?
