Thread: Cannot Harvest From All Creatures Killed? Anyone Else?

Have killed several creatures, large and small.
About 1 out of every 5 I cannot harvest.
Anyone else?

I had it happen to me gathering milk. One of the mobs spawned out of milk
Changed tactics when it happend the 2d time. Now insted of milking the animal, I shoot the lair, jump on my bike race away. Then when they drop aggro go back and milk them all.

I'm not sure this is a BE issue, but I'll take a crack at this anyway.
There are a few creatures that are bugged. One of the type of thunes (hostile thune mother?) does not drop any resources. Also it's a known issue (feature?) that BE's cannot harvest from their dna kills.
As far as not being able to harvest from more pedestrian kills (like pikets or whatnot), lag seems to have a lot to do with it. I've found that having a macro that does: /loot all; /harvest meatworks really well in times of lag. But for some reason when I change it to bone or hide it doesn't work
Dunno what's up with that.

I am just trying to harvest meat from spiders and Spinetaps on Naboo for the insect meat.
About every 5th kill I cannot harvest and I have dealt with the lag before. Always been able to harvest after a few seconds.
ATM, when this happends it does not matter how long I wait and it won't let me harvest the meat or anything else.
I guess we just have to bug it to death.

True, thune mothers never dropped resources. True, BE can no longer harvest from DNA kills (it was great when we could). However, since the CU... every once in a while we cannot harvest from ordinary critters like a huurton.

Probably doesn't make much difference, but I usually harvest first. If lag is horrible, I'll add a pause between harvest and loot command, i.e. /harvest hide;/pause 1;/loot; Haven't noticed issues with harvesting hide or bone.

I've had a few with this issue as well, though just from the radial menu. I typed in the /command for what I wanted, and got the resource fine when it happened.

its a bug.. some times entire mobs wont drop anything.. some times its creature types, happens from time to time

I've bugged this in game several times. Happens whentrying to harvest from a kill or harvesting eggs or milking. I find this happening on Naboo, Corellia, and Dantooine as they have good spawns ATM on one of my servers but this has happened to all my toons.

i can confirm that hostile thune mother one though, never have anything harvestable

What does one loot from animals? What am I missing?
Some animals has loot, like the Gurk Kings on Lok. Kill them and you can harvest meat and then LOOT the Gurk King Hides.
Woolimanders on Yavin drop armor components as well.
Berkasets (Probably Misspelled) also drop an armor component called Burkaset Scales?
Krayt Dragons have all kinds o loot. Perls, Scales, SEAs etc.
