Thread: A couple of questions

1. Why can't my pets attack a lair? Is there a reason? Is it intended to change later?

2. Does my guy say better stuff when taming animals with more taming skill?

3. Am I the only one who wishes they could get a Kryt Dragon for a reward or something? I'd gladly trade in a Jedi slot

I tamed a Greater Sludge Panther baby today, and I am wondering if once this baby is full grown, will I still be able to call him? I am currently at Taming I and Training I. And if not, what do I need to train to be able to call him again? Sorry, this level stuff really confuses me.

My second question is, Which tree do I need to train in order to train my pets commands such as group and the tricks? The obvious answer would be "Training", but when I read the descriptions of each level, I see commands such as guard, but dont see group anywhere. Thanks for any help anyone can give

With taming 1 and training 1 you'll have no problem calling him when he's grown up.

Trick commands come from the empathy line and group commands come from management. One thing you can do while you work on getting these skills is to ask a more experienced handler to teach your pet a trick and the group command. Make sure if you do this, to ask someone you know you can trust, because you'll have to trade your pet over to them in order for them to teach the commands.

1. Has terrain negotation be fixed. What does it do past 50?..still just effect crawl speed?

2. How do you use a camo kit? I brought up the radial on it butdidn't notice a "use" command and you don't drag and drop it on someone...

1. Yes, only crawl speed is effected. There is no fix in the works, devs have said they don't want anyone faster then anyone else.

2. If you have the correct planet camo kit in your inventory, just type /conceal while nothing is targeted to camo yourself and type /conceal with another player targeted to camo them.

What is all this talk about commandos one shooting people? I got the impression that might even be an AT ST they were refering to. How many shots does it take and with what weapon? There seems to be a lot of griping about commandos and one shot kills. I solo'd a commando with a FT using my carbine last week I healed my self twice but I was never worried.I am just a novice commando, but a BH with an LLC did over 1.3k dmg to me the other day That is far more than I can do with my FT. Granted, I am not using a special attack, but I doubt even with a special attack it would increase the dmg enough to overcome the pvp reduction to 1 shot someone. (well maybe if they only have 600 or 800 maybe health or action) Anyone know what exactly all these rumors/complaints are about?

What is the talk about nerfing? Is it the FT or the weapons that we use vs an AT ST theya re talking about or what?

The flamethrower has a bug so it is considered a melee weapon, so when someone with the flamethrower would hit someone with a rifle they would get the massive damage increase (3x) which was allowing them to one shot people.

Lets not forget armor and its resists. You said you dealt with a commando using a carbine, meaning you have some protection against heat maybe with your armor. The bounty hunter's LLC did huge damage to you, does your armor have a vulnerablity to electricity? And it would be safe to assume that the BH was using specials.

Also did you have any buffs and that?

Hi all! I'm new to Star Wars Galaxies and this forum and I've read the first "read this first" post and saw that this wasn't the right place to post questions, but I didn't find a better place so you'll have to excuse me... Anyways, here are the questions I'd appreciate to get an answer on:

1. When I got the game it said that I have 30 days free, does this expire exactly after 30 days or on a date like for example 3rd of January?

2. How can I know how many people are playing on a certain server?

3. I'm in the middle of a desert and there is a very very long way for me to the closest city, is there another way to get home without running all the way (I don't have any mounts)?

4. What happens when I die, do I lose XP or anything?

5. I've been playing for about 3 hours and haven't got any new items yet, just a simple knife... Is this normal, and where can I get new items such as weapons and armor?

6. What is a good thing to do when you've just started?

...I think this was it...
