Thread: So what have I missed?

Hi all, been away a couple months for a move. Anything changed since june or july?

Vendors were changed to require Artisan III or better. BE's were left out of course being non-artisan crafters with higher skill point requirements to begin with. (My only problem with the change is that our concerns were given a 'tough luck' response.)
I speculated about a FS crafting bug, which Nancy forwarded to Keldarin. He not only fixed it before Publish 10 went live but the Pyrolian Cake with it.
I quit BE.
That's about it, I think.

Well, what have you missed within a year? Hmm... as you have heard there is no more stat migration, since the Combat Upgrade changed the way stats are used and so migrations were no longer necessary. The timers for doing ID-stuff have been removed, too so IDs are no longer chained to our Prisons of Style (aka Salons). Oh and our skillpoints got lowered a bit (by 16 points) so Entertainers can now master all entertainers professions at once.
As far as I can tell pricing hasn't changed that much. Most IDs seem to work for tips or have some basecost. Others charge per changed detail and I've even met an ID charging per minute. If you do a search about it on the board you should find some threads about this topic.

my usual cost is 10k... but i say it nicely "sir pls tip 10k, more or less ok.".... thinking about going to 12k.... a full makeover from MR. Bria is 40k
ever since i wone the player event mr. bria on bria (duh) i get oh 5-20 tells when i have my commando sign up and im out killing gurk on lok. it tell them il be on id shift lator... when i do id i have a constant flow of costomers, like old times. i love it.

Hi all,
I have been away from SWG for about a year. My main character is MID and I was just wondering if pricing for ID services has changed much since last time I played. I haven't seen another IDer yet on my server and I heard that IDs dont change stats any more.
Can anyone that condense the changes to ID over the past year into a few sentences for me?
Also if anyone has a link to a recent pricing relatedwebsite that would be very much appreciated too.

Welcome back... I don't know if you were around in May 2004, but that is the last time we got new content, and subsequent to that, some things have been removed. In short,
- We got timers. They sucked. They were reduced and then removed.
- We got stat migrations. They left too.
- We got colors. They stayed.
- We got a new interface. It's still here too.
- Various bugs have cropped up and been disposed of.
- People whined about hologrinding with timers.
- People brag about finishing ID in 20 minutes.
- People still want to AFK macro through everything.
- Kwee retired and left SWG
- Bush was reelected.
As for pricing, Lightstrider Image Designs is up and running again, and that has always been a good guideline.

As a Master Image Designer, I command a higher fee. I've invested a lot of time into my craft and my prices reflect this. I am usually quite busy and rarely visit a Salon. If you are looking for my services, most likely you have encountered me while I'm currently busy. These prices include my time/effort/expense in traveling to your location and/or changing my current plans.
Base prices are negotiable if you are nice. Be a jerk and they double:
1k for one simply change if you know what you want. (hair, eyes, body, holo etc).
5k for mulitple changes if you know what you want.
10k for one change if you have to go through all palettes
25k for multiple changes if we go through all the palettes and items
50K If you want to look like Anakin Skywalker or any other character from Episode 3.

You forgot that the devs are still working on the Patch to cure all diseases in the world... and feed all people and bring peace to all... oh wait, that was this other MMO... I think it's name was Reality... nice grafics, but the economical system dearly needs a revamp
