No more pets sales until this known issue is fixed either.

Oh right. We have med crafting, we are all elated.

I don't know about the rest of you, But....I'm a little worried. As rough as publish 20 seemed with the pet changes, the problems with this one well make my skin crawl. And the fact they haven't fixed anything else?? Arghh.... I'm starting to believe i'd have been better off a dancer!Our purpose is diminishing!Pets are useless, as they can no longer pull, Tank, and with this even LISTEN,tailor/BE canned, and meds with no market. *Cries, and hugs her critters* I'm just going to tryand keep my head high, and hope its not going to end up as bad as it seems.

Well, there might be some room to hope. It is quite possible that this is just the first version of the next publish, maybe they will include other fixes...

Still no fix to the BE/Tailor problem. I know they said that they are having problems with locking this down, but this is ridiculous.

Heh. I'm not holding my breath. To be honest, I won't be surprised if they push this publish through with the CH bug that causes their pets to not listen to commands...

I found this on the CH forums ....... might be soem hope after all .......

Well, since no one else has seemed to notice, or post the information, I'll post a wee bit of an update here, so that a few people can stop playing the 'Let's jump to conclusions' game....

It would appear that the beginnings of the new pet specials system are on the way to Test Center. Don't take my word for it, take a look at this Screen shot. Pay close attention to the top left hand corner. There is a listing for Trainable Abilities, Training Points, and Training XP. These values would appear to be consistent with information a certain DEV commented on, not too long ago in this forum.

Something else to contemplate, before jumping off the gun, is the fact that Babies are currently wonky on Test Center. Their Levels are not CL1 as they should be. They appear to have the same CL as their parents. If I recall correctly, this same issue was what broke the Elite tamables last time around, before it hit Live.

And for the last bits of information....

The new training window looks like this. This pop up menu comes up when the train option is chosen. When the pet is trained, each command will be listed in the window, like so. I disagree with the comment on the new interface making the training process longer, since it is now much easier to train each command, since you can open the interface box up and leave it there, without having to keep a finger on the ~ key or keeping your mouse button clicked.

Currently, on Test Center, newly tamed pets are not responding to any trained commands. I'm 100% certain that this is due to the upcomming changes that should be hitting TC in the next few days, that will change how the pets are trained and how specials are learned.

I'll try to keep posting more information as I discover it. It does look like the pet system revamp, that was mentioned is in the process of being added to TC in stages, so everyone needs to wait a few days and take a lesson from your pets.... /tellpetowner Trick1.

Saw the post on the CH forum as well. Perhaps I'll make up some pets on TC and have them waiting in the wings for my CH so I'm ahead of the game when the system changes start to appear.

Kao = observant

Cin = forward thinking

other people = disappointed too many times already

Dor = holding breathe but I'm turning blue!

Thanks for the post on this Kao ...

BY THE WAY - dare we hope that we will have the dream situation of being able to incorporate specials into BE'd animals that are just not possible for CH's to get from tamed animals? Dare we hope the specials will once again come thru on the DNA? That we will once again be able to have the challenge of getting all the 'portant bits right AND the right specials???? Really holding breath and crossing fingers now ...

Im really struggling not to use my token respec to come back tbh...(I miss pets /cry) and if we do get something a little more interesting than the utter crap the system is now, then perhaps I will come back and do BE on one of my chars alongside my Chef as I am doing pretty well now...(Its sort of weird actually being able to bid on resource auctions I just bid about 4mill worth in the past hour. Never would have happened as a BE )

BE can be a very lucrative profession. I was once a MBE/MChef (strangely enough, I got Chef to supplement my BE skills), I saw that the CU was going to drastically change the chef profession, and I wasn't really interested in keeping it. So I dropped it.

Now I am a MBE/MMerchant. I sell my Additives to Chefs, even some Chefs who are MBEs as well (saves on their factory time). My last order that I took was for 6.4 mil of the three nutrient enhancers.

If the Tailor bug is ever fixed, it will open up even more opportunities for me.

I do sell some stims, but I honestly hate that they dumped the Med crafting on BEs. And it even irritates me more that the devs catered to the crafting docs by allowing the 10 experimentation points to be achieved at xxx4 BE. Why can a xxx4 BE make as good of stims as a MBE?

Sorry about that little rant at the end, as I said it does still irritate me.

I know what BE used to be like as I was one for over a year...I left (sort of, Im 0404 now) just after the CURB when they unveiled the new pet crafting system...

I made a lot of money with BE...but that was through hard work, rather than through the profession...Because of the volume I was producing in Chef tissues, I needed to buy meat. That meant I spent a LOT of money on the trade forums, and spend most of my time advertising for rangers.

As a Chef Post CURB, I am making good money for, tbh, very little effort in comparison. One of the down points to Chefs is the big investment in stock you have to make before you see a return, however once you have that, keeping stocked is relatively easy so long as u don't have silly prices with people emptying your vendors constantly.
