Thread: Possibly going BE... should I?
- If you love playing with numbers to see how your results change, all of our crafting provides that.
- Finding the perfect creature to sample DNA from provides a very different experience than you will get in any other crafting profession (taming creatures would be the only analogous system in the game).
- Coming up with the ultimate pet recipe is tons of fun.
- If you like rooting around for the best resources in the galaxy, we have need of them.
- We have three very distinct lines with tissues, pet stims and pets. Stims are fairly forgiving so if you want something simple to craft you can. Tissues require the work in getting good resources. Pets are a system unto themselves. The great thing is you can switch between them as your mood dictates.
Okay, I decide I want to master the BE profession. Should I "master" it first by grinding, then learn it or should I take my time learning as I go? Opinions again are requested.

as someone who recently mastered and is doing their best to work it all out...i really don't think that it matters. either way you'll end up getting to master and not knowing a ton about the profession...as i like to say, i am a "novice MBE" ![]()

With this combo you can get keep only 4040scout instead of going Master. If you dont want to reroll then its not to terribly bothersome with just 4040scout and +16 from clothes.
Your best bet is a mixture of grinding and playing properly, if you grind your way to clones 1 you can make dewbacks and cupa with yard trash DNA, put your 1 experiment point in physique and you'll have a bag of cl 9 mounts you can sell on the bazaar at 5k each and make a nice little profit to pay for more meat
When you're at DNA 2 or 3 you can do voritor dasher missions and make some decent cl 10 tank pets, if you have clones 2 you can put them in cat skins and the higher up engineering you get the better you can make them.
Since you have to be out there DNA sampling for that tree you might as well make some money out of it and use the DNA you're sampling.
BE has the advantage of being the only craft that doesnt require you to be a master.
This is for my alt crafter...
I am currently a Master DE, Architect, and Artisan. I am thinking of giving up DE and Architect to go MBE. I also have Merchant skills too. I am aware of having to have Scout and Medic skills... the question is should I do this?
I am looking for opinions and I figured the boards are usually full of them. ![]()
My main char is a TKM and working on his MCH. He has Medic skills for support too and will probably go Master Scout.
Lastly... the motivation to change profs is simple... to keep the game fresh. I am financially well off... and I have a resource business that does well, so money is not really a factor.
Fire away...
