Are there any seafood-oriented flora? Seaweed kind of stuff?

Nope, no seafood flora that I know of. Does anyone know if any items other than Charigra use seafood?

If fishing is the only way to get seafood, then I certainly hope they do something about the way fishing works. It takes too long and you have no control over anything once the fish is hooked, so it's sheer luck as to whether you actually catch anything or not. I've tried fishing several times so far, now and during beta, and haven't caught a durn thing yet! Once you hook the fish, you should either get it or not....none of this 5 minute theatrics about the fish charging closer to you and then trying to run, etc. Either that or there needs to be some other way to get seafood. I hope the devs are reading this. If you are, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something to improve fishing.

Well that Charigua looks like its another cloth treatment, but at the rate it's taking to find any kind of seafood/fishmeat then it's gonna be very expensive to sell.

A friend of mine and I were kidding around about opening a fishing ranch. Find a good fishing hole, sell experimented poles and bait, hold contests, find some way to publicize record catches, etc. Maybe we need to give it a shot.

It is a cloth treatment.. Adds + to business acumen. I only had enough to make 2 sheets of synthetic cloth with it added to. You should be able to get an item with +5 to business acumen if you did well with experiments.

i recently happened upon one unit of seafood while in a dungeon. i know you guys use this stuff, how often does it appear and how much is it worth?

note: i couldn't get the seafood because it was in one of those locked magseal containers and i'm no slicer

Better ask the BE's about it, cause there is no specific need for seafood in chef schematics.

we can probably use it, just don't need it specifically. And you'll need about 20-30 units of the very same thing, for it to be of interest to a BE. However, I hope you took special note of where you got it =) Seafood and "mullusks" (sp) are being searched for almost as much as the rare "milk" is (from talking to my BE friends).

The only meat I get from fishing is "fish" - you've gotten crustacean/mollusk or something else that's a seafood? BE apparently calls out some pretty specific stuff at least for what my friend's looking for - it's a lot like the milk crusade. He uses fish too which is where mine goes hehe but so far we haven't been able to find anything that drops a "seafood". I think it may be a rare like milk.
