Thread: Herbivore Meat no longer necessary?
Very interested in this too. Can be helpful if BE's post a full list of organic resources with attention at the stats. Example: Hebivore meat with good OQ, PE, ... Large quantity or small quantity and so.
Let's cooperate for better busines both sides
As far as I know the requirements stayed the same for the doc components, and the required stats stayed the same too.
However the things they are used in (buff packs) are no longer desirable.
You should be able to find a list in here somewhere of all the new components and requirements.
Herbivore is still used in a subcomponent for stims (and one of the enhancers though I forget which one). Given the high volume of sales for the new stim Ds, I expect that herbivore will still be desired. The evaluation formula that I use for the various resources for meds and chef tissues are:
Herbivore: OQ + (PE/2)
Insect: OQ + (DR/3)
Any Meat (for chef tissues): (OQ/6) + (3PE/20) + (FL/10)
I am desperately in need of herb meat. I've bought all of the quality meat that I can find on my server's vendor search.
Herb meat is used in Advanced Chemical Release Duration Mechanisms. The stats needed are OQ and PE.
Just a side note. Herb meat caps at a PE of 700. So if you see an OQ of 908 and a PE of 678. It is a very good spawn of meat.

How are you trying to sell it? I wouldn't have a problem buying some meat at 60 cpu (especially with the stats on that meat), but I couldn't afford to spend 6 million on a stack of 100k. I wouldeasily buy a stack of 17k units (enough for a full run of ACRDM).
Don't forget, not all crafters have 100 million to spend.

You are right, but I doubt you'll see any good meat as this soon. If you compare gorath's history of herb. meat spawns, you'll see, it's pretty rare to get a good spawn. But hey, there's always hope for an uber shift lol.

Actually that depends somewhat.
Yes, the value of collecting current spawns are down. Currently on my server (at least before the publish) the best wooly spawn ever is harvestable. Prior to the CU, this spawn would have easily gone for 50 - 100 cpu. Now the top armorsmiths are only paying 5 cpu because a group of 8 people can collect 800k easily, and in a short time.
However, when a resource is no longer able to be collected, the value goes up. At that time, the value is based on several factors. Quality, type (herb meat as opposed to carn meat), and how much of a supply is in circulation.
I don't know if this spawn is a current spawn. If it is, then 60 cpu is way out of line. If it is an old spawn, as in Pre-CU, then 60 cpu might be a fair asking price. After all, it is a VERY nice spawn of herb meat. If it is an old spawn, but was collected Post-CU, then there might be a large supply of it; and therefore less of a demand.
Since BE's are now the pre-cu doc/cm-stuff crafter, i've got a question. Ain't Herbivore Meat necessary anymore for subcomponents? if yes, which stats are important?
