Thread: Path to Master BE?
I don't really have a set plan for how I'm going to climb to the top, but I'll probably be leaving the tissue line for last, going up Clone and Engineering first.
What I usually do is go and get 20 templates (100 samples) then make the creatures, sample from them, make more creatures, sample, etc, until I run out of DNA. I make around 10k B xp doing this, and around 15k CH xp at the moment, but it uses up a good deal of meat.
I'm a zabrak and we have pretty high willpower, so my mind regens pretty fast, but still not fast enough. What I usually do is sample then sit right after, then get up to sample again after my success/fail. Sitting seems to make mind regen faster.
I'm quite new to the trade, and have only made clones for bio engie exp so far, as the server i play on crashed just as I was about to fire up some tissue items up in the crafting tool.
So anyway, i cant vouch for whether or not higher level DNA templates give more exp than the ones you begin with, but I can tell you that outthe ones you begin with, you should be doing bearded jax's exclusively. Their exp vs resources required is 7.371 exp per resource, vs the kaadu's 6.18 and eopie's 5.890.
Clone Engineering II level creatures give (counting xp for the DNA template) from around 530-600 xp, and use 75-100 resources, with the creature giving 530 xp using 75 resources and the creature giving 600 using 100 resources (Zucca Boar and Carrion Spat respectively).
I didn't document the CE I creatures, but my guess would be that Dewbacks have the worst xp per resource numbers, considering they take 105 resources (but are still one of my favorites!).
hmm curious just ![]()
i am not yet BE but how u got creature handling exp when doing BE job?
would be interesting for me ![]()

I got CH xp by calling out the creatures I made and training them.
OMG
*Slaps forehead*
Thank you for that insight.
Just a little math I did. I make no guarantees to its accuracy. I wanted to find out what was getting me the best xp per resource. I tested the jax, eopie, kaadu, blurg and gualama(sp?). I stopped at that point, because it was obvious that the novice BE creatures were a better deal.
The formula goes like this: template xp + clone xp = total xp / resources needed = xp/resource
Jax: 66 + 258 = 324 / 35 = 9.3
Eopie: 75 + 324 = 399 / 55 = 7.3
Kaadu: 81 + 342 = 423 / 55 = 7.7
Blurg: 84 + 392 = 476 / 80 = 6.0
Gualama: 84 + 392 = 476 / 80 = 6.0
I still need to do the math for tissue engineering stuff. My above math doesn't take into account the DNA samples needed, so I'd have to keep that in mind when comparing numbers with tissue eng products. I also have to keep in mind that I can get taming XP from all of the above (well, I couldn't tame the blurg yet, but the Jax's I'd make). Or i can try to max out my DNA sampling tree and sample all of my critters I make before they realize it gives out way too much XP. But I'm not too worried about that since it seems to gain fast enough in the field.
BTW, if there's any BE/CH on Kauri and want to swap trainings or split costs, give me a tell.
Zeke K'har on Kauri
Thanks SO MUCH!!! I will do this.. You saved me A LOT of trouble. Oh, what do you mean by good luck figuring out how DNA Sampling works? lol I have been trying it and only thing I can get to sample is things with under 150HAM lol. Any tips on that? lol
Thanks again.

Ok I've been Novice BE a few days now and after what seems like a million DNA Samples my sampling skill is up to 3 and over halfway to 4, and I've managed to get to lvl 1 in the other 3 skill boxes but getting the 30k needed the second lvls seems kinda slow, it's what about 600-700 xp for a complete clone, that's counting making the template and putting it together. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience moving further up the trees...should I just focus on getting the Cloning line maxxed out first since I am assuming higher level clones will give more xp? Mainly what I been trying to do is go out and sample till I fill up a 50 item backpack or more and then sit down and use it all up. Getting a backpack filled takes quite awhile for me at least, even at DNA 3 I get a lot of fails plus it uses up a lot of my Mind bar so have to add in rest...I assume if I was heavy in mind I could just nearly non stop sample but then my combat abilities would be shot...oh well any suggestions/advice is appreciated. =)
I'm 1/1/4/1 right now.
Engineering techniques 1 will give you 2 points to experimant with and the pets in Clone 1 really are a bit better than those in Novice.
Never made a fast reacting Ikopi, no matter how good ![]()
Tissue 2 gives the ability for pet stim B, which I need as i and my wife are CH also.
For grinding, yes, do as the poster above said. Grinding up at 105 exp. per is a pain though.
I've been sampling Grondas since Novice, and at Sampling I, I switched to Sharnaffs, the bulls give 448 experience. (no death blows)
Sampling with a full inventory, you'll fail with no message occuring that you're full.
I STILL fail sometimes 4 in a row or so in sampling.
So, I sample 50, keep the good ones..tame the bad, and go sample some more. I'm not in a hurry and hate grinding. Still trying to figure this crap out with making pets and I see very little rhyme or reason at this point. It all seems to be a fluke.
~above all, have fun=)
