Thread: Question: How money does a CHEF/BE Make a day/week?

Right now I play on ahazi and am Master Doctor grinding to be a jedi. If I stop everything I am doing and dedicatea day to non stop buffing I can pull in 450k maybe a lil more.
I know that with a CHEF/BE you can make make BE food and pets ects. But you also have to set up harvesters and such.
How much does it cost to set up what you need to get started and how much do you make each day or week?
I can simply zoom over to matta's meds in moenia and buy buff packs for 13k each then buff for 6-8k and pull end enough money to but two more sets of backs and start again.

First, 450k a day is a very nice income. Being both a BE and Chef is a lot of work. You need many different resources, need a lot of factories for the food and a lot of time to make the food and get the resources. Figure about 10-20 lots in cross server trades to place houses, factories and static farms. Then you need a good and reliable power supplier otherwise you are stuck harvesting yourself.
Most importantly you need to really love to craft, cause that is all you will be doing. As to the money you bring in, think weaponsmith cpu on the food, but you earn that money.

How much money you make is pretty much proportionate to the amount of effort you're prepared to put in.
I certainly dont make 450k a day, the most I ever made was 450k in 3 days - because I had a Tailoring contract to make 100 guild uniforms - right now I'm working on a guild mount order of 30 dewbacks, it will take me a week and net me about 450k, so in 2 weeks I will make over 1 million if you include my other orders but I dont charge as much as a lot of people - I dont see the point, I'll never spend that much money in my lifetime

it depends, I have had days where I pull in over 1mill however that is very rare and far in between. It just depends on you and what you have available.

The Chef revamp has been out less than a week.It's going to take a while for people to catch on to the new foods. That and the fact that there are not a whole lot of chefs out there right now and I'd guess it's going to be a month or so before anyone has a good answer to this question.

My bank account steadily rises and is quite plump. Basically any other crafting profession makes more, because unless you have a lot of very nice Ranger friends you're going to be spending huge amounts on organic resources to keep a steady tissue output. Your other market, pets, is limited in quantity by the hands-on time and effort you can devote. So in the end, BE's may not be the most lucrative profession out there, but you'll definitely make millions and have great fun doing it.

im master doc/be I make most money off my BE pet stims vendor for little amount of work but buffing is big bucks. I dont see a reason to grind chef not my thing really

When I put in all the effort I could, I made a million, or more, every day for 20 straight days. I make 100k to 500k a day now. If I wanted to do nothing but craft pets, I could get back into 500k to 1 million a day, I suspect. It will be interesting to see what the chef tissues do for business. It will be nice to not have to hand craft all my products

Lets say you have all the resources needed for a full 40 crate tun of tissued vasarian brandys. Now that is a few 100k of resources, plus power, money and, foremost, TIME. When you have that brandy batch ready, can can easily sell one crate for 100k (more if you have casks and/or high-end tissues). That is 4 million bucks on one run. I am in school so i cant calculate the exact time it would take to make a full 40 ´crate batch (if you have enough factories so that all things that can be run is run too (no waiting for 1 factory doing 1000 alcohol just to start another 1000 acohol - you have 2 factories for alcohol, one for the tissues should be enough - thats 4 factories and íf you make the money you say you make as a doc, buying 3 food/chems wont be a prob really), but it sure isnt more than 96 hours, more like 48.
But lets say that it will take you3 days to finish a complete 40 crate batch of brandy, and one day outside coronet starport to sell them off, you will make 1 million/day.
But let us remember that this is if you have funds, power and harvs (me/my guild have about 40 lots or so, so resources isnt a prob for me. If you're not in a guild, try exchanging cross-server lots with people on other servers).

... and let us not forget the fact that the hours that the factories just run, you can do whatever you wish (making pets and selling them, more money, woho 
).
).So you will make 1million per day, but its a lot more work than simply buffing people all day long (but also a lot more exciting, I reckon)

As a chef, the most i've made in a day is around 3 million. Now I typically make anywhere from 100k - 1 million a day. It's a pretty wide spread.

I'm pulling in 500k to 1mil a day. Biggest sellers are non-ch pets and tissues in that order, mostly do ch pets by custom-order and then not very often. Lol, but I always look forward to a visit from Erus, a master tailor/master chef, who cleans out my tissues vendor and makes me scramble to make more each time. I make up to 3mil on those days.

Yesterday I think I sold 1 million worth of stuff. But I sold stuff that took 1-3 days to make. That kind of a day is not the norm at the moment either. 10-20 crates sold I think I've averaged since the revamp, so I would guess the 450k or so would be very close.
This must all be put into perspective though as others have mentioned. While I might make 450k the last 4-5 days have pretty much been nothing but surveying and loading factorys/vendors. I don't mind it at all though.
