I took a bounty last night for @6500 credits. I think the difficulty was lvl 21 or 24? The mark had over 12k HP's. After I finally killed him, with the help of my pet and the grace , I only got 65 Investigation XP?!?

First off, I could never have beaten this guy without my pet acting as a tank, and all I got was 65 points?

Is there a better way, because my character must be a wuss or something because without a pet to help me, I would get killed by these guys fast.

I have: Master Marksman ans scout naturally,

BH 0-0-3-0

CH 2-1-0-0

and pistoleer 0-0-0-1

I am using bleed and health shot alot, maybe I should be using a different tactic?

Are there any good BH tactic guides?

the amount of your bounty defines teh amount of xp you get. 6500 credits = 65 xp, 10245 credits = 102 xp

thats the way it is no easier way untill you get lvl 2 and then you can do base raids and get 1k xp investigation

Im trying to get master marksman. After getting all the level II weapon skills I breezed through rifle III and pistol III in almost no time at all. Carbine is taking me forever. If I use ful auto shot or leg shot I start to kill myself and FAST. If I dont use specials it takes forever to kill anything since the damage is random.

Is this just part of carbines being messed up?

Man I feel for you guys

lots of carbineers get medic skills, or partner with a medic. if ya action is swallowed so fast ya might need to check ya quickness and stamina stats and migrate em so they are maxed. if ya not planning to use carbines much after master marksman use a snub nose dh17. no need to buy anything higher if ya not gonna use carbines for long. just get novice medic and buy stim b's. can always surrender medic later.

Ok Im just sitting in Theed slaughtering newbie mobs. Its actually working faster than taking on challenging stuff. Think I may try this all the way through carbine IV

Aye. Grab a snubnose, put yourself somewhere that you get auto attacked, but won't get killed, and go to bed. Wake up and thank the heavens you dun need to bother with carbine anymore. Food and pixie will help you, but I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't need to become drug addicts and all-you-can-eat-buffet fiends to be able to pop off more than a couple of specials in a fight.

Good luck. I have grown addicted to my carbine, and will continute to use it until our issues are adressed. In the mean time I may also level BH pistol so I can fend for myself in PvP a little better.

Somewhere you have bad faction with the inhabitants. For me, thats right outside Moenia Cantina. There are other places. Just make sure that it is a static spawn. That the mobs are easlily killed by you while not using specials. And that it is a spot where you can regen HAM in inbetween spawns.

For instance, outside of Moe Cantina (see a lot of up and coming Commandos afk there all night) is nice because: Its maybe 4 or so spawns, a few minutes break, then repeat. The break is good enough that HAM heals while standing up rather well. In fact, I don't think I have seen anyone AFK and incap there. THe main problem would be if there are other people there doing the same thing. I know people have done the same thing with Meatlumps, etc. But I frequent Moenia a lot, so Im a bit clueless in regards to other exact spots.

any suggestions on a place I can park myself and get aggroed?

I'm at Slicing 4, and I honestly don't think I've ever sliced a weapon for over 23%, whereas I've slived armor as well as 31%. I thought the weapon max was 30% at Slicing 4 for weapons and 40% for armor, and 35/45 respectively at master smuggler.

I just made novice and about 9 out of 10 trys i fail when trying to get a sample. Am i doing something wrong or what? Its not like i am trying to sample CL 50 animals. I am trying on chubas and other weak mobs right outside town. Does anyone have any advice?

Um, hope it gets better after the patch. And buy some muon gold and a crafting droid to take some of the load off your inventory.That about covers it.
