Hi all!

I mastered my BE this week (yay!)

And as i find it hard to locate the right flora recourses a BE needs to make tissues i bought some flora farms and took up the artisan proff again just to survey myself.

I had some questions....

I'm taking fungi as an example:

The quality/stats of fungi is not different on the % in the ground but is different per planet?? Am i right?

And is that's true what would be the best flora recourses (from what planet) to use for crafting tissues?

An advanced thnx for the help.

Correct, if a fungus is available on Naboo, it's the same fungus across the planet. Only the concentration changes. Note that some resources can have more than a single spawn going at a time. I've not seen this with floral but it's worth knowing.

What's best depends on the stats. The FAQ has all the information on crafting but in brief, the weighting is OQ 50%, PE 20% FL 20%. So, if you have a choice between OQ 500, PE 500 FL 500 or OQ 700 PE 500 FL 300, take the second one.

aah thnx for ansewing my suspicions. This should help me to determine on what planet i need to place my farms. And i'll check the FAQ to see on what planet i can find em.

Cheers!

You won't find that info in the FAq, it changes frequently. Check www.swgcraft.com for somewhat up-to-date resource information.

Something you might want to look out for is high OQ wood. Being as wood has no other stats that affect the tissue, If you get a nice high OQ wood, you can fill one of those crafting slots with some nice high stats, at little cost to the others.

VERY IMPORTANT - The floral resources (as well as the animal resources) CHANGE with time. They are named. If you go to swgcraft you will see what is spawning currently (and can indeed see what has spawned in the past). They will be the same all over the planet during the current spawn then they will vanish. All the resources do not change at once of course, so you cannot predict how long what you are currently harvesting will last.

Also, it is widely believed that the 33/33/33 formula given to us is wrong and that it should be 50/30/20 ... You may want to take this into account when you are looking for resources.

Best of luck and welcome to BE!

SWGCraft has a find feature. I have a couple of bookmarksset to find currently availaable resources of a certain criteria. For example, if you wanted to find good BE resources that were currently available and have them sorted by desireability...

Go to the find feature, select your server, select only available resources and enter the following values: OQ: 50, PE: 30, FL: 20. This will weight the stats in those categories based on the percentages you give. Hit enter and you'll have a bunch of resources returned but they aren't filtered by desireability. LOok on the far right for the overall score given to that resource and hit the little down arrow at the top of the column. Now, your results should be returned in order of desireability. Bookmark that page and reference it to see what you should be harvesting.

Exactly. In my favourites, I have 3 pre made websites: High Qual Flora, High Qual Meat and High Qual Wood. Helps me find everything I need straight away.

I highly suggest checking out swgcraft.com. People post what is spawning of all the resources. If you do use this web site please pay the respect to up date resources like others do. It failrly easy to do using /note ingame and just type the resources in there and then go to swgcraft.com and you can copy and paste from the note.txt file swg creates. There is a tutorial on that web site also how to do this. Very Very useful site for me.

Oh my God....Ive been a BE for almost a year now, I used to update the animal resources religeously for my server on swgcraft.com and I've NEVER known about that feature lol. I had to go and check just to make sure. Thats a neat tool. Notthat useful once you've beenmaking tissues so long that you can tell the results just by looking at the meats stats, but manI wishI knew about that when I starteddoing this. That's what I love about this game, always something new to learn...like yesterday I discovered that you can take items out of the output hopper of a running factory without stopping it. Over ayear of using factories and I never figured that one out either hehe.

How do you accomplish that? Whenever I click on a running factory, I only see the option to stop production.

When you click on a running factory the only thing under options is Stop Manufacturing Objects. But if you release the mouse button on 4) Options instead then it opens up the output hopper and you can retrieve items in there. I just stumbled on that yesterday, don't know if its always been that way.
