I'll make it short (for my last leaving thread was quite long). I don't like the changes that have happened to the BE profession and to the game as a whole. With the new blaster type image that they want to give, this will mean that a lot of my pre-crafted pets will be useless. There have been no significant updates to the pet system as a whole (including CH) and this frustrates me. I don't need this now and I don't have the energy to fight when my efforts go unnoticed by devs (CU testers will know exactly what I mean).

Oof. Are you leaving the game or just the profession? In either case it doesn't give us much hope. Sorry to see you go, drop by once in a while. Good luck with things.

I also am considering my subscription, and have moved it to a monthly rather then the 3monthly it was on before.
The CURB is make or break for me, and it isn't looking promising.
If I dont like what I see, there are plenty of alternatives out there...

I'm very sorry to see you go. I've enjoyed chatting with you over the last year or so. I understand how you feel (all too well) but I think you are making a mistake here. Why leave on the eve of testing, basing your decision on speculation and assumptions when you can try out the real thing in a matter of days? Anyway, the decision is yours and yours alone. And who knows, depending on how things go, some of us may wind up making the same decision. But I defer mine until I have a lot better information.

Remeber things can change before all this goes live. I'd leave your account active through may and see what happens. If the devs don't listen to the community they will lose customers. Customers to them is profit for the game. Just business sense here and if they fail well they will not look good for the companies they are representing.
I'm hoping they are taking this information and really trying to figure out whats best. Deal is with changes like this you'll win some and lose some.

No it's not good enough to keep hoping that things will work out in the end. I've said that to myself the last time I quit. The last time I said 'okay they got it wrong, they'll fix it next time' but no - they keep making it worse. The keep digging this big whole and keep expecting us to jump down it. I urge you all to think carefully. Think carefully if you feel like you are actually a part of this game. Do you feel like you've made an impact? Are you just happy to sit here taking their crap, taking the stuff they throw at you. I say expect more. I say that the devs should RESPECT us as their customers. But they don't. We are just wallets to them.
I mean just look at these forums. The moderators are ineffecient and adversarial. The CSRs are ineffecient and uncaring. The devs are ineffecient and paternal. The strictness of the NDA is absolutely mind boggling amazing. The CU Alpha was a joke. I wish everyone could see the farce that is the CU boards. I will stay true to their game. I wont break the NDA. But I urge people again to wake up and realise that the higher powers just don't care. I reckon that the reason that some devs leave is because they cannot handle the beaurecracy. I can't handle it. The self belief of infallibility that so many of the devs exercise around here is almost insulting. I've had enough of it. It's just a game and if they don't want to listen to me then they don't have to. But I wont stand around here being ignored, hoping, just hoping, that I will go away.
I seriously hope that those who stay enjoy the game, enjoy the world that the developers have created - but just remember in real life you control your own life, so go out and enjoy it.

Zadokk, could you explain in more detail what is at issue here. Not trying to flame, just trying to understand how BE pets will be useless.

hate to see you go zad, but I can't honestly say that I'm not considering it myself.. best of luck in whatever life finds you doing my friend.. on a bright note now you can work on getting some sun

The devs have a lot of going against them, and it would be a shame to see a game with such potential flogged to death by a cash cow band of inept designers.
The competition in MMORPGs is massive at the moment. There are a couple that I have been involved in the Beta phase who offer so much more than SWG...only it isn't SWG.
I want a SWG where I am not considering my subscription every month.

True lloyd........ Hopefully the devs know that cu will make or break swg ........But with swg-history in mind I fear the worst......
