Thread: Keldarin, can we get a timeline?

A few of us recallHolo or someone quoting you as saying the Cloning changes were ready to go, but just missed the last major update. I've searched forever though, and I can no longer find the quote. I'm sure timelines have probably shifted anyway. Can you give us, or our new correspondent an idea of when we'll be seeing them? Since they haven't shown up on TC we're concerned that they won't be making it into this patch either.

unfortunately, theres no info there (as of this afternoon) regarding the BE issue of cloning.
Picture being Keldarin's boss:
"Done with the Cloning re-write yet?"
"Yep."
"Whatcha working on now?"
"Chefs."
How'd the BE's like the new Cloning?"
"Dunno."
"Why not?"
"Their correspondent hasn't asked about it."
"Did you look for him?"
"Not my job. Last time I posted on the BE forum, they yelled at me. Screw the ungrateful bastards."
Heh, maybe so, but it shouldn't be that difficult to give up five minutes to let us know whether it's going in. After that he can duck and cover again.

Apparently not. I thought they learned that communication was key. I guess now that Holo is no longer answering posts and TH is they'll have to learn it all over again.

I thought we made it clear last time that information like this was important to us. Maybe not clear enough. They would have saved a lot of trouble on these boards last time if they had come right out and told us that the publish was going to be delayed but that our stuff was definitely inculded. Maybe they're keeping quiet because the changes aren't making it in this time, and they know they'll be in trouble then. But doesn't prolonging it make it worse? And if it is included this time, which seems more and more unlikely as the days go by, wouldn't they be happy to give us some good news?
I used to believe that there was a master plan. That things would come together in an orderly fashion, even if that fashion was slower than we would like. After seeing so many things turned upside down since the beginning of October, my faith is down to slim and none. I guess the guy in charge demanded that mounts, player cities, and jediappear or else, while completely ignoring the fact that the large majority of players on these forums would tell him to shove cities and mounts and make stuff work first. It's that publicity thing. Only players have access to the forums, but potential customers will hear about cities, mounts, and jediand buy the game. I used to get annoyed with people and their SOE conspiracy theories, but I'm beginning to wonder.
fuzzily at the edge if my brain, but wasn't there a post somewhereto the effect that said our dev was working on player cities( or maybe mounts) as his highest priorty.?
And no, this does not excuse the lack of communication.
I hadn't heard that one Talgoth. I do recall him saying that our changes just missed the last update which has me completely baffled why they wouldn't be up on Test Center in preparation for the next one. If his priorities have been shifted elsewhere by the powers that be it would have been nice to see an explanatory post here.

We were told last major patch that the cloning changes were not ready, but the Tissues were. They did say at that time, the Cloning changes would be in the next major patch..... which is next week now?
Nothing on test server and no word as to way it isn't. Can't believe I fell for it. Kept my account active for another month and everything.
