Thread: How to make a lvl 10 pet
SO far I am not able to make one that I would let see. Too crumy. Spent a whole day at it. Big waist of time.
Same happens to me. I have tried for long to make good non CH pets but I am unable to make any good enough to show it.

Has Anyone a recepie for a level 10 pet?
Greetings Agesa
Well, that depends on what you want. I can sample flesh-eating chubas, max experimentation in all and come up with a 300 HAM beast with 1% resists at level 9 consistently.
The other "decent" ones by comparison I have been able to make tookMANY hours of resampling DNA and just experimenting on Physique and sometimes Prowess. They are not good, decent or usable tanks (andaccording to the Devsthey are not supposed to be) and quite frankly are not worth my time either asa BE to make or to use for my BH, who is going the droid route instead. If anyone has a decent recipe I would be most interested in seeing it posted.
Essentially there will no longer be a viable non-CH market for BE pets, outside of thestray RP'er who wants a companion <shrugs>.Weaponsmiths have 12 professions (basic and elite) to make their weapons for and BEs have one elite profession to supply. I don't really agree with that nor the severity of the December patch's creature nerf to non-CHs, but that is just the way things are nowadays so no use getting all worked up about it. Upcoming combat changes and droidenhancements will likely change things for the better for my BH, but will probably hurt my BE character.
agreed Germaine.. orders for non-ch pets are at an all time high for me...(I know that at least some of these are coming from unscrupulous BE's who were peddling uber-pets without warning these customers).... but I simply cannont afford to make CL 10 pets....
not counting travel fees/muon/insurance/cloning fees and the other misc. costs... the only way I can make an acceptable CL 10 is through 2nd and usually 3rd generation clones.... ending with CL 91200-2K H, 18-19% resists...(I seem to recall someone saying anything over 20% on non-ch would be invalid)
I was charging 1K per CL...and perhaps a little extra for my troubles and I am finding that most people seem to object to 9K for a non-ch pet.......and if I charge my previous price of 5-7K for non ch pets...I don't feel I am doing myself justice for the effort required now to make good CL10 and lower creatures
....it just isn't worth it.- financially or the headache from the cloning system and the customers.... and with combat droids coming...our non-ch pets will be obsolete.... once these orders are filled, I will only make non-ch mounts...and make them out of garbage...
SIMPLY PUT: I cannont justify putting twice the effort (or more), on a pet I can only charge a fraction of what a higher level creature costs to make and sell for.
I made a Mott with 4.5k Ham, 120 damage, very minor resists, dizzy and cripple strike for CL8.
I used Voritar in slots 1,2 and 5 and some 2nd gen dna from dewbacks that had come out too high
I sold it for 25k to a non ch type (very happy he was) then heard a transaction take place where a 3k ham non-ch durni sold for a 100k (good grief) apart from the price they are soooooo slow in the field.
Ah well, Wargfang
do we know if 4K+ HAM will be valid? I know the have reverted back to the "old" system until the "hotfix-fix" is complete.... I was under the assumption that CL10's would be more along the lines of the wild 1-2K HAMs... ???
Well I didnt use any dodgy DNA and I did tell the customer if the next BE patch nobbled it I would replace it with the best CL10 I could make at that time.
For 15-30k most non-newbs have enough capital to risk such a purchase.
After all 15-30k is only 5-7 re-inures for those with good clobba and a pet can prevent death by holding off the foe while you "leg it"
I dont sell dozens a day so Im happy selling a couple a day and remaking for those effected within a couple of days of purchase.
Be Well, Wargfang
I have one recipe for DL 10 creatures that is usually fairly consistent. Malklocs on Dathomir have few resists and a fairly decent ham.. Think their DL is somewhere in the 20's. They have 15% kinetic and 20% energy resists.
My recipe consists of 4 Malkloc samples each used in Physique, Prowess, Mental, and Psych (whatever the hell this one does). I usually use 1 injured verne sample in the aggression slot to kill off the damage, (for any BE this is a must if you wish to retain semi decent ham/resists and keep lvl low). When I do the combine I ONLY EXPERIMENT to EVEN out the stats, never any in aggression, and once all the stats are at about 200ish I complete the template. Usually the first animal is NOT non-ch generally comes out 11-13. Sample animal made with template: use the samples from the previous animal in the Psych and Agression slots, and fresh malkloc samples in the other three.
I can usually get a non-ch lvl 7-10 pet after doing this 2 or 3 times. Alot of people don't want to take the effort, but my non-ch animals usually come out at about 2.5k to 3k ham with 30-40 damage and 12-15% kinetic 17-20% energy resists. Isn't the Kreevol of old, but it's still a viable pet for the Non-Ch who just wants a little tankage.
Thanks Otabie, that should help a lot ..
was a frustrating weekend
