I have a friend who always wants more out of his pets heh, he wanted a CL19 pet with armour, High HAM, resists and intimidate specials.
I figured I could probably do it given enough generations but after a day and about 20 generations of it just not going my way I had a spark of inspiration, and it work out first try!!

So this is my step by step guide, written out in full so even the newbs amongst us can understand

1st generation:

Physique: Merek Harvester (obtained from the Merek Harvester static spawn 3900 5750 on Endor)
Prowess: Voritor Dashor (8k missions on Dantooine)
Mental: Sevorrt (600cr cl7 missions on tatooine)
Psych: Remmer Dune Scavenger (also from endor though anything similar will do)
Aggression: Sevorrt

Experimentation: Max Physique as high as it can go, 2 points in prowess, 1 in mental.

Take 3 samples from the 1st generation.

2nd Generation:

Physique: Merek Harvester
Prowess: Merek Harvester
Mental: 1st Gen
Psych: 1st Gen
Aggression: 1st gen

Experimentation: Max Physique

You should end up with something like this:

10/7/4 HAM
Light Armour
60% Kinetic
Speed 2.31
to-hit 0.26
Damage 120-130
Intimidate
Ranged

Wouldn't you say that these are just _slightly_ over powered for their level and therefore an exploit, Nancy?

I would say that
1) CH need all the love they can get
2) Since theres no way to tell which pets are the result of bugs and which fall within the parameters of normal use of the system, without specifically asking the devs about every single recipe, we couldnt exist if we tried to police every creature we make
3)CH need all the love they can get
4) I have a kind of crude method for determining suitability for level, at its core this pet is MH and Sevorrt, which averages out to around cl24 so cl19 isnt too much of a stretch from there.
5) CH need all the love they can get

I'd disagree - I think the pathetic damage output puts them squarely at the CL19 tank ballpark

This aren't too over powered. It takes skill points to use, and their DPS is marginal at best. There is a big difference between non-ch monsters and strong CH pets.

I would say they are very overpowered.

That said, please abuse these. Maybe both professions will get a bit of attention when the only pets running around are better than any wild CL 65 and can be used by a 3000 handler. (Hmmm, sounds like pre-nerf Graul Maulers without the 0200 CH part.)

c'mon guys, these thing have about 1/3 of the dps of a wild CL 19. That ought to buy you a lot on the defense side. Nancy's critter couldn't hurt a fly. Certainly not overpowered.

c'mon, come and get some, I've got a cdef carbinetrained on ya... oooh, energy damage to the action pool...

Well, this is my first post after a glorious 5 month hiatus from the game. I always look forward to Arthur's posts.

First of all....I'm going to say that there is absolutely nothing overpowered about any creature, wild or BE'd,in this game since most creatures have a hard time standing toe-to-toe with any combat template.

Overpowered?......pffftttt.

I thought when I came back from a 5 month hiatus that everyone would have moved on concerning these "Overpowered" creature issues. I guess I was wrong.

Good job Arthur. Not overpowered, good tank and should save the CH a few pet stims in the process.... Oh.... and what Nancy said in her first post about CHs needing all the love they can get....hehe.

Good to be back.....I need to break out my BE notebook and start creating pets again.

c'mon guys, these thing have about 1/3 of the dps of a wild CL 19. That ought to buy you a lot on the defense side. Nancy's critter couldn't hurt a fly. Certainly not overpowered.

[EDIT -- number correction]
1/3 the dps? A CL 19 wild creatures does 180-190 at 2 seconds. This one does 120-130 at 2.31. That is 57.7%.
[/EDIT]

Not to mention, the number of pure creature handlers is negligable. Most would not care about the damage at all as long as they get a 60% kinetic AR1 critter for minimal skill investment.

Pet damage is pathetic compared to even a novice elite profession. The low damage, which is this pet's only questionable point, is irrelavent.

[EDIT -- Correcting my numbers which were way low]
A natural CL 19 critter has roughly 20% kinetic, no armor, and an average HAM of less than 5000. That is an effective HAM of 6250 versus this pet's 50000. If you want to use that 57.7% dps, then it has a weighted effectiveness of 28800. That is over five times the wild pet.
[/EDIT]

I'm sorry, these things are incredibly unbalanced.

As I said, go ahead and flood the market with them. Then maybe the problem will get addressed.
