Thread: Newbie BE questions.
I was able to find that the same creature, at different levels, does indeed have much better statistics in DNA. On Naboo, I tested the normal CL14 Bolle Bol when compaired to a -mission- CL56 Bolle Bol. Though the normal was to be expected, the mission Bolle Bol had a majority of it's statistics in the +600 region. For example, the normal had a Dependability of +70 while the mission Bolle Bol had a Dependability of +280. Both tests were of Above Average quality and I only had DNA Sampling IV at the time.
I read on the boards that a Bio Engineer may only sample up to CL75. So, would it not be better to look for the normal statistics you wouldwant toaim for, then pump them up on possible destruction missions? I was told that a CL10 Overkreetle had an inteligence of +600 naturally. I will look into seeing if I can get 1 to spawn for destruction missions after I get back tomarow.

Almost to the status of Master Bio Engineer, but my experience is mostly grinding. I've been experimenting with a few Carrion Spats with Kadu and Peko genes, but that only presented more questions. Answering any of these is greatly apreciated.
DNA Sampling
I, like a few of you, am a Creature Handler. I mastered CH before deciding to drop Rifleman and start BE, at least untill mounts allow ranged attacks again (if this game last that long). What creatures should I look for? What would give me aCL70 with decient resist, a good attack, and possibly a special or two? Being a CH, I've seen how all animals are the same now, so it doesn't really matter which animal I choose to make CL70 since all that matters is the creatures level.
There has been a lot of work done by Namessiah, Dorelli and myself on charting the stats of mission versus wild spawns and yes mission spawns are the same as non-mission but with boosted stats, I highly recomend downloading Namessiahs BE Tool it is a very good tool for collecting DnA informationa nd predicting the stats of a pet after creation. As to range attacks, there is still ranged attacks, i made a pet with ranged the other night using kliknik dna and got ranged on it, when i tried it out it did use the ranged attack, specials are a diferent matter, BE's cannot make pets with specials atm, we don't know if it's a bug or working as intended.
What should I put in these slots at creature creation? I was informed that roughly 50% of the foods potency would fall into the equation. So, what vegies should I mine before dropping Surveying IV? Should I give it meat, milk, or eggs for nutrition, and where/what should I get them from?
When creating creature in the final make, the resources (apart from the dna template) have no effect whatsoever in any way on the creature, all the stats are determined by the dna template solely, so you could use resources with only 1 in all its stats and it would make no diference to using resources with 1000 in all its stats.
Customization
Quite a few of the craftable animals, like the Bol (Bol Packrunners, though lower in level, are larger and bulkier than Seething Bol Crushers), have different size and body variations in the wild. Is there a choice which body they are born with, or is there only 1 craftable generic variation?
If i'm reading the question coreectly it sounds like you're asking if we can make the diferent pets at diferent sizes with diferent features? No there is one 'skin' for each creature type that we can make, the size of the creature depends on the level of it now, as it grows in levels it gets larger, also and this is a pain in the neck for us because it effects making pets mountable, a CL10 creature will be a fraction of the size (when full grown) of a CL70 creature of the same type, the reason this effect mounting pets is because now a CL10 creature (apart from dewbacks, falumpasets and bagarasets) is not large enough at CL10 to hold a saddle.

With high DNA, your chance to create the creature decreases, right? Is it possible to create a creature that is just too high in CL to be tamed by a Master Creature Handler? If so, what CL creatures should I use to get a CL70 creature?Yes you can make over the CL70 CH cap,im getting regular CL69/70 pets by harvesting CL65 missions on yavin atmI just learned that I need a house of my own or to have a house owner with the equipment to use BE to it's fullest to make me an admin or something simmiler in order to craft other BE things that aren't on my list in the Public Crafting Stations. Yes some of the schematics we have can only be made at a private crafting station, you can either get yourself a house and put a private craft station in it, go into any house with a private station in (you dont need to be an admin) or buy yourself a droid with food crafting station capabilities (usually the best option cos this means you can craft in the field too).
Also, unlike Creature Handler skill, I was able to take MBE imediatly after obtaining IV in all 4 forms instead of having to earn 100,000 XP. Yes once you have 4444 in BE you can get the master box for free
A bit touch and go at the moment, but I'm getting the hang of things. Thank yall for the information!

go to a food and chem crafting station or buy a droid which has one included, now use your crafting tool to create a pet or something else.
at the window were u can decide between experimantation, crafting and making a draft schem, use the experimentation button.
in the following window u can increase the yellow bars during the experimentation, but keep in mind to only highlight one box and then hit the experiment button.
coz if u spend all your experimentation points at once u get a higher failure rate and also the increases of the lines u were experimentating are sometimes lower than hitting every box once.
i hope i could help ya a bit.

I'm useing DNA from CL72 Kliknik on Yavin and, after experimentation, I useually get a CL72 or CL74 Bol. My highest tamable Bol was 65, but I just can't seem to get the right levels to hit CL70. Also, is there any real differnce between a BE CL70 Bol, CL70 Rancor, and CL70 Kimogola? The DNA would effect the creature, but wouldn't they all basicly be the same?
In my experiments I do find that the CL70 rancor, kimo or bol all end up pretty much the same. As for your cl 72 or 74, sounds like you're over experimenting. It's ok to back off on experimenting even if you have 2-3 points left to spend. I record the stats on the genetic template and then when the pet i create turns out CL70 I have some numbers to use for reference and know when to stop experimenting.
