You gotta be a ranger to sample dna to make any level 70 pets. This blows chunks. This was the one thing I feared and its happened. Theres no way my ass is getting near mutant rancors with exp 4. If anybody has any tips I need them other then taking ranger, or should I just forget it.
I cant freaking believe this...

Why don't you buy the high-end DNA from Ranger/MBE hybrids? Either that, or become a ranger.

man what ranger/bio is gonna sell me dna? when they can make the pets themselves? Oh well, I knew it was gonna end up like this, No shocker.

i was out on dantooine sampling all knds of voritors and ancient grauls (didnt see any frenzied) and never once did my mask break
I only have exp 4 but i also have 4 peices of cloths with +15 to maskscent

Get your hands on some clothing with a Mask Scent bonus,this way you can boost your Mask Scent modifier from +70 to +95 (there is a +25 cap to the bonus even if it shows higher in your skill window). Look around vendors, or make the tissues and find a friendly tailor.

So you only have to be a Ranger to be effective as a creature cloner if your a Wookie. Oh well time to dropthe last of mycombat abilities in exchange for Ranger.

Something has happened with DNA Sampling successes vs. failures. I used to be able to sample Mutant Rancors and pull in tons of DNA in a matter of hours.. but tonight I was getting MANY more failures than successes. In 45 minutes I got 5 Mutant Rancor DNA samples... that's unheard of.

I can only speak as an onlooker who's lurking here because I'm excited about custom animals, but...
I'm a ranger, and am already lined up to escort BE expeditions to Dathomir and Endor this week. Remember that we can camoflauge others as well as ourselves. So why not just ask a ranger to team with you? Many of us would leap at this sort of opportunity.

No offense intended but cant you Guys&Gal's (BE's) make tissue enhancements yourselve's? if so why would you not already have a couple of tissues to get you the +25 mod for it!!

Hmm as a Wookie with Exp IV I had no problems with the Mutant Rancors. Of course I do have a +17 masksent piece of clothing on. In fact what was really strange is that I got incapped quite a few times and NOT DBed.

Yeah, that happened to me a few days ago. Tried sampling an ancient bull rancor with DNA Sampling 3(haha I know) incapped me, and then just stood over my body. Once I woke back up I ran away and that was that. I like it. Itd be nice if animals didnt always DB you...
