Thread: Bio Engineer Profession: Cloning (publish 17 update)
here are the early notes:
* Using /sampleDNA will no longer set off your auto attack
* Bio-Engineer Pet Levels should now function properly
* Bio-Engineer Pet Re-sampling should now function properly. Crafted pets should be able to be re-sampled and reused to craft new DNA
* Bio-Engineered creatures should now be usable and have reasonable balance for their level. Crafted pet levels should be appropriate for the stats the crafted creature receives
* Bio-Engineered pets from before the Combat Upgrade should convert to a usable state when called. (Old armor values will be replaced by new ones, appropriate to the creature's level)
* Bio-Engineer Pet Stats fixed to have an effect on function
* Each of the following DNA traits now affect new attributes:
o Hardiness: Health
o Endurance: Health Regen Rate
o Fortitude: General Protection (Base Armor)
o Dexterity: Defense Value
o Cleverness: To Hit Value
o Power: Min/Max Damage
o Intellect: Reduces the effectiveness of intimidated, stun, dizzy, and blinded state effects.*
o Fierceness: Adds a small chance for each attack to be a critical hit.
o Dependability: Adds a small chance for the creature to absorb half damage on a hit (critical save).
o Courage: Aggro generation bonus added to normal attacks.
* This doesn't reduce the chance the state effect will be applied, but reduces the amount it impacts the pet's ability to fight. Dizzy, for example, makes the pet less likely to hit and more likely to be hit. A dizzy pet with high state resist will fight better in that condition.

we've actually had BioE's noting the problems with cloning since BEFORE the CU entered beta testing.

Yeah.. I finally sold the last pet off my vendor - I wondered why I'd had a run on them until I tried to make some more ::cries:::

if you guys are stuff wanting to make pets what i have done is get missions at my CL which is 17th dna sample the creatures find the ones they have fixed like the low end ones near starter towns and the high end ones off missions mix them togather and get a half way decant pet min have been running level 20-40 pets ham range around 8k top end dam running 210-450 max its not a fix but it well let you make some ok pets its hard to get the right combo but it can still be done and the to hit is always going to be 0 but they still hit all mine i made for my MCH still hit and harder then the natrual creatures on some i have made about 5 post cu creatures and they seem ok all you have to really woory on is getting the the 1000 down to a managable level i don't worry about the action or mind for there is none
8 days later there's an update and nothing with regards to BE. And no new information from the devs.

This is effecting CHs in more than one way too.
My Alt is a CH, and the lack of DNA showing specials means that I can not train any of my pets with the special attack 1 or 2 commands, BEd or Tamed (although i still learn the commands in the skill tree).
Prehaps this goes deeper, have they tried to remove special attacks from pets? or is this really just a bug?
