Since they put in the weapon/armor delay I have notice a couple of things in PvP and PvE that disturb me. I literally can not do anything but run now after I fire off a special. If I try to mount my bike after killing a lair with flame single 2 I have to wait for the FT delay before my toon will mount it. This is all rather frustrating. In PvP right now I get maybe 1 DB out of 10 incaps because I can not DB fast enough.Targetting also seems out of whack. It seems that if I try to target someone else immediately following a special my combat queue does not change to that person even if I have cleared it. I have to wait for my special timer to finish before I can even queue up my specials for my new target. Is this intended?
Yep...the combat queue delay is one of the most frustrating parts of being a Commando...it prevents us from doing anything but running around...has been this way since I can remember, even before the the Weap Delay went in...Since the Weap/Armor delay went in it just feels more noticable...
What many people don't realize is that every profession has a Combat Queue delay after their specials...This delay is built on a speed formula that takes into account speed of the weapon as well as speed skill mods of the user...it uses this formula to determine just how long that delay post special lasts...Most professions have weapons that are much faster then ours plus they have much higher speed mods, therefore their combat queue delay is less noticable...
This is exactly why I'm pushing very hard to get us +30 Flame Thrower Speed added to the Master Commando box...This should take our 8 to 10 second delay and reduce it down to at least 4 or 5 seconds....this may not seem like much, but it will raise our Damage Per Second (DPS)rate...It will also help alleviate much of what you are experiencing with every action going into a queue post special (the wait will be much less)...3 seconds may not seem like a whole lot, but in a fight, it can feel like an eternity...

The +30 is not the end all be all fix request...it's more of something to help pacify us while we wait for our other fixes...I'm hoping (practically begging) for other fixes to come by or with Publish 10...I'm not sure how many we'll get, but life sure would be a bit more barable if at the very least our delay was shortened...
As for the combat queue going away after a fight has ended...while I agree that it would be nice, it leaves ample room for possible abuse as I'm sure the devs have considered...imagine what a Commando/Smuggler could do with an Flame Special/Feign Death combo...or some other route like that to completely avoid the Combat Queue by doing a special, endingthe fight, starting it again with a special, ending the fight, rinse and repeat...
Personally, if I had my say, the Combat Queue Delay would be tied solely to the Flame Specials or at the most other Combat Offense Abilities...In otherwords, allow non-combat related things during the "Combat Queue Delay" like heals, mounts, etc...heck, we can't even sit during the Combat Queue Delay...I would think that there is a way for the system to code Combat Related Things vs. Non-Combat Related Things...and all I think that should be limited during that delay should be offensive moves...not defensive or non combat things...

Come on Garvo! Show me some love here! Why else you think I went Smuggler....it's just as borked as Commando, but it sure is fun to Flame Stack and Feign Death.....
uhm...are you crazy? root doesn't break on damage this is not an exploit...wow jedi can come up with some crazy theories...
a MEZ breaks on damage, not root...that would be paralyze or your own move Stasis....
soon i'll see a post about how shooting a jedi from range is an exploit, how saber not 1 shotting people is an exploit, and how jedi having to grind xp instead of just starting as Yoda is an exploit.
