Ok, I've teased you guys enough
Here is where the dna came from. Lammergeier collected it some time back, and this weekend with the rollback, asked for my help in running some tests, knowing full well that whatever we do, for better offor worse, it wouldbe wiped out. Thegoal though being to try to create a callable medium-armored pet.
It wasn't done as a "neener neener" kind of thing, but more just as a test to see if the crafting system supported such a thing or not. There are some very very wierd things that happen in crafting with dna that high. When I get a chance, I'll post some stats to demonstrate what I'm talking about. It also gives a good opportunity to test some of the formulas that we haven't revisited in a while. Also, now that we know what one possible master level ch pet might look like given virtually unlimited sampling abilities, it gives us a chance to discuss one of our top items, which was the whole issue about increased high end critters, and removing the sampling cap. I'm anxious to know how people feel about that now.
Personally I don't think there should be a cap on sampleable pets. In the end, any results over cl70 will not be callable, so there is a validity check there already.
Under the current combat system, an AR2 pet would be more likely to balance the CH profession than unbalance it, so I don't see what the problem is. After the CU this would be an issue, but no doubt they are considering the balance of CHanyway.
I also would like it a little easier to sample from higher end creatures, I mean come on guys, a Master failing to get a sample 9/10 times on a Mutant Rancosr then killing it in 1 sample?
At the lower end of the scale, the grind is ridiculously long winded as u fail I think it's 50% of the time on yard trash.
Sampling success and creature levesare waywrong.
