Completely forgot I didn't show you guys the screenie of this, it was auctioned off on Ahazi and the bidding ended at 700k. Somepeople said they were gonna post higher, frankly the bidding on the forum stopped ay around 500k and all of those who complained never posted before so frnakly it's not my fault they didn't voice their bids. I think the winner was a guy called Melik or something, they collected the rancor in bestine and were part of thr STARS guild.

All i can say is that be on the look out for this killer, it's some of my best work.

I'm kind of curious too, if you made this after Kimogila sampling was nerfed, what did you sample for the DNA? Very impressive creature, aside from the DNA you must have had some seriously high quality flora and meat!

C'mon Tal, tell us what you used!

It was a pre-nerf clone which actually just used the typical CL50+ dna from things like Merek, Hanadak and Bark mite burrowers. I didn't do anything special with it and I've not been able to recreate the results. It was even done with my old -12 crafting station and some chem tools I made ages ago when I had artisan 0/0/4/0. Must have been a glitch really. Still it was a very lucky glitch

As for the meat and flora I can't recall, it was made not longer after Ako appeared on Ahazi. 1000 OQ and 900 PE. But the meat was just 900/800 same as what I always use. I did try again using the same kind of dna and pairings (the sample I used for the damage was a very nice 950/950 from a Gurreck if I recall)

**edit** tal, nice. Had to be a glitch though cause I never got one even close to that and ive used 980/950 meat and flora close to that and good dna and nothing even close to that. Still awesome though. Glad you got decent cash out of that cause its worth probably 2 million imo.

i would love to see the guy who tries to duel that rancor vs another BE one w/ high 12.7kHAM and .68 to hit w/ the normal 670 dmg. outcome: his 500k cred pet gets destroyed and he begins to cry.. :*( LOL

Actually if you do some number crunching you'll see that this higher damage rancor would compare very well against a regular one even though it's 0.6 seconds slower. Mainly because it's damage piles up alot faster, even if you throw healing into the equasion this one comes of better as it's knocking more out than you can heal fast enough. But in the end it's sold and it's gone to a happy customer. I could have gone for 2 million but then again thats the point of an auction.. sometimes you get a good deal, sometimes you dont. All I know is that I got a **edit** load of money which made me very happy and finacially secure.

i fail to see how a creature doing the same DPS has dmg that piles up faster when its attacking at a slower rate with a lower to-hit.

im sorry, but a rancor with1.5k higher HAM and same DPSwith better chance to hit will beat it -no question.

Hence the.. "But in the end it's sold and it's gone to a happy customer" ... cause we know that number crunching means nothing when there's so many factors involved. Yes it can and no it can't.

I tried all day not to post here, but dangit, I can't resist asking you why you didn't sell that rancor for 5k.... what made this so special you jumped right off your soap box and put the royal screws to the consumer bleeding him for every penny he was willing to pay?

Quite consistently you have called me and others colorful names because we operate our business on the very underlying princples you used to sell this rancor.

Anyway, just had /chuckle at you falling off your soap box.

On a more constructive note, 800dmg Very nice I would have used the exact same method you did for selling it.

Didn't happen to write down the DNA pairs you used for this did ya? I've got a small collection of DNA building with stat pairs 1000+. Like Fierce 1024, Power 1046 in one DNA sample, though I haven't gotten a 1000+ sample lately. No it isn't baby DNA for any of you that have been around long enough to remember the numbers on those.... though I still do occassionaly get a babyDNA sample by fluke while speed sampling thru a nest of yard trash while making housepets.

One reason these high damage pets are so popular is PvP. You're looking for that one tremendous sledgehammer on the first hit to give you the advantage over your opponent, so Rancor on Rancor doesn't interest me much... or seem terribly pertinent to discussion. Hehhe I had someone begging me last night to make them a 15k dmg rancor because a buddy had one and he'd seen the damage while visiting. Guess they didn't get all the babyDNA critters swept out of the database.
