Seems like everytime I sample a creature , it dies after I sample it ..

Ive been using it to do missions lol .. I sample everything dies then send in my pet to attack.

But I would prefer the creatures not to die when I sample DNA .. is there anyway to keep them alive |?

Dude what the heck?

You wouldnt get to be a mad scienctist if the animals LIVED Duurr!!

Well we can kill Huge krayt dragons with a needle. and an atst group will come upon the corpses and wonder in amazement how did you kill all 10 of those krayt dragons by yourself w/o any pets.

I WANT the creatues to die, im bummed out when they accasionaly live.

i think having higher levels o the sample skill give the animals a higher chance to live. BUT I wanT THEM TO DIE !!!

Ican solo Torton missions on rori w/o having to use my pets(exept on the lair)

next thing ya know there gona nerf our super needle and give us toothpicks instead

As you move up the sampling tree they die less. Hence you can get more samples from the same creature.

I have sampling 2 and practically every red mob attacks me if I attempt to sample one of them.

supposedly there is going to be somne sort of cap on the level of creature you can sample at a given CL to prevent the one-sample-kill on tough creatures (and also to prevent novices from creating strong creatures).

I was sampling Fambaa a few months ago and some noob came up and asked how I was killing them. I told him that it was a faction perk called Imperial Death Touch. She thought it was the coolest thing she'd heard of. Heh heh.

With DNA 4, I find that anything that gives me less than 300 xp almost never dies. Frustrating if you're trying to use it to clear out an area.

Just occurred to me that having a Novice BE in my PA would be a very useful thing.

"Luke! There's Krayts in the south 40. They're tearing up the water harvesters. Go kill 'em."

"Yes, Auntie Beru."

i was one of the people told by the holocron to master BE. so im doing it. and i find it interesting so far. im currently 1-4-2-3. it is an insane amount of crafting, and im dealing with it. but im not minding it too much yet. despite the occasional pause to go to dath and get meat, its not that bad.

last night i was looking for a way to get better sampling XP. i had 20k more left to get to sampling 2, and the gnorts and chubas weren't cutting it. so i went to dath to get meat (kuramith defiler missions are easy to solo if you have a graul (or better pet) and a decent gun - they give about 120-150 carnivore meat per harvest), and decided to try to sample things on the way. i hit some brackasets, and was having decent luck. i was sampling more than they were attacking which was good. i went back to base and picked some bolma missions (pay 25k per mission). i was leary at first. but by the time i was out there, i was sampling bolmas at a better rate then the brackasets. i cleared the spawns and blasted the lair. great ampling XP and great payout. my only problem with sampling is that we dont get to harvest the meat of what we sample. and since we have little fighting skills, this would be ideal.

Sample the biggest non-DB critters you can find. Take the incap when it happens. You will actually get incapped at roughly the same rate at Novice as at Master when doing big game. At Novice they die more often, while at Master you will get more frequent samples.

I'm an MCH working on BE. I use it to get babies to spawn. I sample the adults and wait for a baby to spawn. Now if we could only harvest the meat when we do that

I have been soloing Graul lairs when I come across them on Dantoonie. The Ancient ones give 514 sample xp and they don't deathblow. i just mask scent and sneak up behind them. Nice xp when you can find them.

It is funny that a Scientist can solo what a Master Commando can't.
