Hey I'm about to start selling weapons on the Bloodfin server.

Anyone have a price-list on all weapons as well as the most desired stats?

A single tissue can up a garmets sale value by 12k. Two tissues in the same garmet can up the sale value by 45k. I do not think 500c per point of bonus is unreasonable, so a +15 tissue would go for 7.5k. The thing is most BE's already have some pre-existing relationship with a tailor so it is with the tailor that you must barter.

It depends on what server you are on. I've seen prices based on post from this board range from 100 credits as high as 1000 credits. On Lowca the average seems to be around 200-300 credits per point, depending on the tissue. Some people sell advance tissue for 3000 credits no matter the stats, etc.

i have 1 tailor who i give a special deal to but in general i sell my normal tissues at 1000cr +250 per bonus which i think is very reasonable. so a 5000 cr peice of clothing with +5 maskscent/camo that takes 2 tissues would cost 9500cr.

I've just recently mastered Artisan and got Novice Tailor, and I've had a small store running for a few days. The problem I'm having is that I'm really not sure how much to sell things for - previously, I based prices on skill levels, but certain higher-level items, like the Military Travel Pack, are far easier for me to make than other items of the same level, so I'm sure they shouldn't be the same price.

My question is, does anyone know if there's a list somewhere of suggested prices for items on SWG? It probably changes all the time, but I currently have no idea AT ALL what things are worth, I'm running purely on guesswork as I'm making a lot of items I've never even seen before. I want to make sure I don't overprice or underprice things, naturally.

I've looked all over Google, GameFAQ's, SWG Stratics, but nowhere seems to have a list of how much crafted items in SWG are worth. I've found a couple of really old lists on some Japanese website, but everything there is ridiculously overpriced (about 800 credits for Novice Artisan clothing? I think NOT. I wouldn't charge more than 50, tops, for that junk.)

Anyway... any help or advice on this matter would be VERY much appreciated. Or if this was answered already on another thread, gimme a link to it?

Thanks.

You will find that this is one of the most debated topics in game. I am not aware of any price lists and if you do find one, be careful. Prices vary, as they should in a player based economy. One server may sell the Military Packs for 800cr while another will sell them for 300cr.

Some follow the cr/resource rule to determine prices. If a product takes 100 units of material to construct, charge 3-4 credits per unit: final price 300 - 400 credits. This works well to determine a baseline for pricing, but I don't recommend using it as a strict rule of thumb.

I tend to start with the credits/unit to get a base price and then factor in a few other things like resource availability, crafting difficulty/risk, time, etc. Then I try to shop around my planet and see what others are selling similar items for. Pay close attention to quality. A CDEF Carbine with 3.0 speed and 31-60 dmg is very different then one with 4.5 speed and 20-45 dmg.

The items I craft/sell (Artisan and Architect) tend to be between 3-6 credits per resource. My pricing model also factors in vendor/factory/harvester/shop maint. and other overhead. Weaponsmiths get much more, but also require very specific resources, same with armorsmiths.

The short answer to your question: There are no definitive price lists available. Because it is a player based economy, it is up to the buyer and seller to set the prices. But use the global map in game to find player vendors with items similar to yours to compare. Just realize that they may also be to high/low. You can also search the specific profession boards for some pricing examples.

Best of Luck,

I should have known the answer would be something like that, but thanks for taking the time to clarify it. I eventually did figure out a system to calculate the approximate worth of things I'd created, but I've already managed to forget it again. :/ Oh well.

it depends on server, competition, stats on your fishak, etc. 60k/crate is like 20cpu though, so I think you'll be making money. Also I'm pretty sure there is like... several pricing schemes sticked.

Moltar, I am not promoting myself here. For those Master chefs who I know doing mass production and sales ( 1 at Tatooine and another at Corellia Tyrena ). We sell Fishak at around 90K-100K per crate vendor price ( + some price adjustment depends on your customer need ). Some chefs sell the product at pretty cheap price but they only have some stacks or few crate per week available on vendor.

If you want more information, free feel to send me tell/mail in game.
