That's a nice job, SOF. TY.
Do we know if the new cloning system will automatically create these special moves based on the shell of the creature? Example: rontos have a posture down attack now. With the new cloning system, am I guaranteed that special attack whenever I craft a ronto? Or is it going to be DNA-dependent.
Everyone keeps talking about the shell/skin being "empty" and filled with the contents of the DNA. But it seems like the specials will likely be still in keeping with the shell's appearance/wild equivalent.
Thanks again, SOF ![]()
Xanda: the word from TC is that everything, including specials, comes from the DNA.
the only thing the body might retain is its movement speed.
Good job on the list.
Are these all specials that can be created into cloned creatures? I read about the AoEs being taken away from pet that can be tamed. I never know what to believe onmessage boards though.
Will we be able to customise both specials or will we have to find creatures that have both the specials we want? What I mean is could I get Strong poison from ahorned voritor lizard(special 1) and meduim poison from a gaping spider hunter (special 2) and put them both in one clone?
If we are able to put both specials on from different critters it would be great to get all the data we need together. I think a list of what specials can be sampled from which creature would be great .What I'm thinking would be like a BE shopping list for specials. When we get an order for specials and CL we could refer to such a chart and round up the DNA for it. Such as:
Dizzy Strike:
Special 1:
Creature level Creature name Planet
10 fanned rawl Naboo
12 Pouncing jax Endor
17 giant carrion spat Corelia
19 mauler veermok Nabbo
20 Giant veermok Naboo
20 greater gulinaw Talus?
21 bolle bol stomper Endor?
(note the question marks) This is what planet I'd be wandering to try to find these creature on. Hence the need for a list
Dizzy Strike
Special 2:
16 Devil gulinaw Talus
17 giant dalyrake Talus
It's a bit sloppy but you understand what I'm getting at I'm sure. I'd get grinding away on a spreadsheet myself if I had my master BE on the test center to gather more data.
to answer the question, the specials can come from two different creatures, however exactly how this happens is still very foggy and the system looks like its going from far too siple to completely obscure and unreliable. since Kel doesnt have time to tell the TCBE's what they are supposed to be testing the whole testing time is going to be spent just trying to figure out what the actual system is. im not happy with the results of the tests, honestly. ive been pretty patient, but i just cant be excited about the new system until i know what it is. im definitely happy that cloning is FINALL being reworked, but im getting the eerie feeling that this game is be a memory for me a month from now, which is really sad considering how long the devs had to fix it up and make it something worth hanging onto. not to advertise adn i hope this doesnt egt the thread locked, but i looked over some info from FF XI and it looks real cool. its been around for over a year over in japan and it looks like all the problems with a newly released MMP have been worked out. maybe ill come back to SWG, but it would take some seriously good player reviews about the combat system and professions and economy to get me to come back to this game.
maybe ill stay... ill see how fun the new cloning system is, but right now im just bored as hell.

Talthazar,
Is there any way Keldarin can confirm or deny if these specials will be possible to clone? I suspect that you have to use VH quality DNA and also be lucky to get them, but I'd rather not waste a bunch of deeds trying to get them if it isn't possible.
