Thread: What is Slicing?
I have seen a couple of messages on the board that speak of getting a weapon "sliced" to improve the weapon. What does this mean and how does one go about performing the task? I understand that crafters can use experiment points to drastically improve the weapon when creating it, is it the same thing?
Thanks in advance for any response!
Slicing...
Is a Smuggler ability.. to "hotwire" or Jurry rig an item to improve it's performance, though if successful the item will wearout a lot faster than Normal...
They can also Slice "hack" terminals and such, as well as Slice open Locked Containers.
Well, not being a slicer, my answer won't be very technical, but here goes...
Slicers are sorta like hackers, from what I understand...they can alter the stats of weapons and armor usually making them lots better, as well as "slice" mission terminals to get higher payouts.
This message brought to you from http://phreakre.idlegames.com/theden/the Smugglers den, and no I am not affiliated with the site just go to it alot.
Slicing is the art of using our guile to improve products that no one else can improve upon. In the place of major modifications and complete part replacements, the Smuggler has the ability to enhance his firearm or armor set with only a precision laser knife and some luck..
Does "slicing" armor reduce it's emcumberance?
