Question:

I've heard that the different schematics each have their own numbers or something so that you can use them in macros and all. How do you find out what the schematic number is for each schematic? Where is it listed?

Thanks

Open your datapad and change the view to a list view. Count down to the schematic you want to use. It may not be the exact number you need when you open the crafting kit but it will be close. Just use trial and error to narrow it down from there.

The schematic number depends on which tool you are using and what order you received your schematics as you levelled up. Taking the generic crafting tool as an example, the weapon upgrade kit (WUK) is number 112 for me. If I were to make one with the weapon crafting tool, it is around number 57. This is because the weapon crafting tool loads less schematics than the generic tool. If you choose a number that is higher than the number of schematics loaded, it will point to the last schematic on the list.

Thanks. This information gives rise to one more question though:

When looking in the list view, do I need to make sure that I do NOT re-sort the view by category or anything then? (so that it'll stay in the order in which the schematics were gained)

I have no idea on that. I have never resorted my schematics.

The number you count from the data pad will be a little off for the generic tool btw, since the generic tool doesn't necessarily create every schematic you have,

Cool, thanks.

I don't even know if you can re-sort the schematic lists, I was just asking.

I'm not even an artisan, but I'm mainly asking this for a buddy who is.

Thanks a lot though.
