Just out of curiousity, what are the energy types you're trying to use? There are only three resources that can be used to power a harvester: wind energy, solar energy (both listed under energy(liquid) in the bazaar), and the various classes of radioactives (listed under either inorganic mineral or energy(solid) ). If you're trying to use a "Class5 Solid Petrochem Fuel" or an "Unknown Liquid Petrochem Fuel", those will not be recognized as acceptable energy. It's rumored that the "Fuel" resources will be used in vehicles once that addition is made, but unless there are schematics that require these resources, they are pretty useless.

The only other thing I can think of is where is the energy stacks stored in your inventory? I vaguely recall a problem once where the harvester didn't recognize that I had energy when the stack was in a satchel in my backpack (so nested inside two containers). When I moved the stack to just my backpack, it worked.

I have tons of problems with the entry screen for power deposits where it reports that I have XXXX in inventory where I didn't have near that much. Many times the number is the total energy I own at the bank + in inventory + everywhere.

Make sure that the amount that you are trying to put in exists in your inventory.

For example I had 1000 energy in my personal inventory and when I open the deposit power screen it shows 1200 energy with a slidebar. I slide the bar all the way right and it tries to deposit 1200.... of course I only have 1000 so it flahses up a message that I don't have that much (which can be easily missed). It took a few times for me to realize I still had some power left in my backpack and why it was still there.
