Thread: does wind ever show up over 60% and what about solar ? in regard to surveying
we found 78% on dathomir several weeks ago on wanderhome.
it stayed up there for about a week and a half, then shifted. i'm just now finishing up the wind energy that was harvested from the 4 wind gens on there.
I found a 65% wind once.
I had my solar on a 70%+ spot just this week. That is until the change and now I can only find a 61% spot.
I never understodd thier messed up logic in requiring certain spots to place solar and wind. I mean if the blasted thing is sitting out in the middle of a field, with all the sun it can get (or wind), then it should produce energy.
This goes back ot lazy programming I guess.
Actually, requiring careful placement of wind makes sense. If you look on earth, the most efficient places for "wind farms" are in mountain passes. Out in the middle of an open field just doesn't have the speed, nor the reliability, of a careful placement.
To a lesser extent, solar makes sense too. Solar panels are more efficient towards the equator than towards the poles. Prevailing weather patterns will also effect overall efficiency.
