Thread: Is it possible to trade schematics?

I was asked to make 10 schematics for someone today. When I attempted to trade them to him the trade window kept throwing me out. Is this a bug, or is it even possible? Any insight would be great. Thanks.

If you're trading schematics, I assume one or both of you have factories. Go to the factory, make sure you're both on the admin list. Put your schematic in the schem slot and have him retrieve it. Repeat.

Heya,
Or load them on your droid, then transfer it to them. They unload, transfer it back.
Contracting for schematics keeps my factories running.

As the previous posters mentioned you can trade them via factory schematic slot or droid datapad.
A third option is to use a vendor. To give schematics to the owner of a vendor just offer the schematic(s) to the vendor at 1 credit each and the owner can buy them. If you own a vendor and the person who wants the schematic is present you can put the schematics up for sale on the vendor at 1 credit each and the recipient can buy them as you put them up.

Um.. I guess I am a n00b, but is there a market for this? What sort of schematics do people want? I guess this is for people who don't have a particular skill tree, but the factory/resources required to make the item, correct? So which schematics are the sellers?
