I'verecently started playing and started a career as an Artisan. I've just started using harvesters to get some materials...

Yesterday I placed 2 personal harvesters, a few minutes' walk apart. Today, one of them (the first one I placed yesterday) is gone. Yesterday I made sure maintenance was paid up for at least 12 hours.

I placed it in an area with many other harvesters, and when I returned to the site today I saw rolling hills and pretty flowers, but no sign of any of the structures that previously existed. Do structures just disappear? Am I not supposed to get an email when something happens to my structure? After all I get one when one is constructed.

Just wondering what's going on, before I waste another few thousand credits and my time.

Place a tech support ticket. The same thing had happened to me a couple months ago. I could hear it but couldnt see it. I even had a couple friends come out to the location and they could hear it but not see it. Its that new Harvester stealth technology the incorporated into harvesters. Its just too bad they cant make an automatic payment system too. (just kidding about the stealth)

If it's after the server reset that it's disappeared they take a while to load up.

First, yousaid you placed it yesterday and it had at least 12 hours maintenance in it. A day is 24 hours, so you may have been short on maintenance by 12 hours.

Second, the maintenance cost on harvesters is measured in half hour increments, so if it had 12 x Rate, that would only have been 6 hours.

Also, as posted above, if you look for harvesters within about 1 hour of the server restarting they will often not show up. (Good job none of the comercial databases i run has this horrible performance).

It is also possible to get a harvester buried by a spawn. Are there any lairs near where you placed the harvester? If so, did they raise the level of the land?

Finally... yes it is possible that your harvester just dissapeared. Doent happen often anymore, but does happen occasionaly (I know cause I lost 8 heavies that way).

ithought mine was missing too. I was kinda pissed off coz I had travelled 3.5 km just to hopper the resources. So , i press ctrl- v and ctrl-m to see if my havester is there . I turned on and off the map number of times. Viola !!! It appeared right in front of me suddently !
