can someone please explain to me the percentages when surveying. I have been at 50% + but it still said the resource density was too low. is there any indication of when the resource density is high enough for me to harvest, or do I just have to guess blindly?

That happens when there is a new shift even if it was at 99% you still couldnt survey it.

Yeh it's pretty much a bug. When I get like 90% density on a mineral and it says that, the way I found it out was because I was surveying next to my extractor. Once I opened the Extractor and it said the resource wasn't there, I knew it was a bug. Just one more Artisan issue the dev's need to fix.

Katana,
It has been my experience that when a new resource shifts (late eve when it has happened to me) that I can place harvestors (meds anyway) and get them fired up. I cannot hand sample, however, until the server resets. Some kinda glitch.

I have read that you cannot sample a resource for 12 hours after it first appears. It seems to be like that on Bria at least.

It's not just limited to hand-sampling. Whenever the resources shift, scouts cannot harvest full resources from creatures. But at least they get 1 unit. Kind of sucks after you've taken 15 minutes to take down a Tortur.
