Thread: So I can make my own power now...
A while ago, friend of mine just gave me a bunch of his stuff because he was leaving the game, and one of the containers he gave me was full of deeds for different harvestors, wind & solar power gerators, crafting stations...basically a bunch of stuff a commando does not need.Anyway, I was hanging out in my front yard on Naboo when I thought that a satellite dish would be a nice addition to my house. I plopped downa solar power generator, and renamed it. I have absolutely no clue how anything but weapons work (I can stick needles in my arm too), but I started messing around with this thing and turned it on, paid some maintenace, and began harvesting power I guess. So my question is: can I empty out the hopper and sell this stuff for a profit? I know I've seen power for sale before, but I've never paid much attention to the going rate, and I'm not sure if I'd make money or lose money by doing this.

Sure you can sell it. Just see what the going rates are and throw it on the bazaar at a competitive price.
Because of resource shifting, you may not have a good percentage of resources available to harvest - but if you are keeping it there for show - you will still have to keep maintence paid on it or it will degrade away - it cost the same to keep it maintained whether it's on or off, so it'll be a nice offset for some of your maintence.
Thanks for answering
I didn't know solar power shifted hehe.

This is one of those cases where the designers had to sacrifice realism for a more stable economy. Solar and wind power shift just like every other resource (even water). So there have been times when I haven't found a solar power spot over 40%... on Tatooine! Two suns and I can't find a good spot? Bah!
The solar gens do look pretty cool, though. Probably looks nice next to your house.
