I appologise in advance if this has been ansewered but I've gone through as many forums on this subject as I can and I must say I'm still no further forward

The question I'm asking is do you get crafting XP for factories and If so what do you need to do to get it. I've read that you need to be within a certain range and you have to be logged (Which is obvious)

Do you get the XP Gradually or all at once do you have to wait until you've crafted all your Items in the factory or not?

Can someone please put me straight on this as it's driving me round the bend

(removes the pipe from your mouth and sets it off to the side) we've had enough now haven't we mr happy? j/k

actually you get a small base of generic crafting xp anytime one of your items is used by someone else, a power up, armor a crafting tool, anything you make and someone uses gives you crafting XP, general, armorsmith, weaponsmith etc. you don't need to be logged for this or be in a certain "range" they just have to use itfor something. As far as factories, i have made well over 2k crates and the factory it's self does not seem to add anything, if you are getting xp it's the whole magic monkey theory, you're not getting the xp from the factor, someone has just used something you made, and it also takes a long time to ge the full pool of "useage xp" think stat migration with crafting xp, with the exception that the more items you have out there the bigger the "migration" from the pool to your xp bar, as it seems that it is not one large pool but an individual pool per item or each item is allowed to add what it normaly would add to the "dump" to your xp bar.

No, factories don't give any experience at all, ever. I think it is a bug, but they don't put the crafters name on the items in the crates, so they aren't considered to be yours, thus, no xp. They used to give xp, but I think the patchthat stopped items giving xp when they were removed from crates killed it. If anyone isn't having this problem I'd be interested to know. The last I heard on the issue was our correspondent saying she would pass the issue on to the devs in a week or so.

Well unless it was changed again. If anyone remembers about 2 months ago i think, (i gave it a 1 month break so memorie isnt to good) When they ment to decrease the factory exp, but totally took it out, then they said they fixed it to give the proper amount but i think it went up to high then they said they fixed it, then i got sick of the BS and here iam back amonth later hoping alot of the wrinkles are ironed out. So last i heard factories are suppose to give exp but looks like its not top of their mind right now if they dont give exp.

Once upon a time, factories gave 100% XP as long as you were logged in and nearby. This was a bug and considered a near-exploit by the Devs so they "fixed" it.

Factories then gave 10% XP (and no UXP) as long as you were logged in and in the immediate vicinity. This was considered good by most.

However, if both of the above cases, "Industrialist XP" was also being awarded. This was a hold-over from the Miner profession. When that was removed, ALL XP awards from factories went away.

I wish they'd bring the 10% back..... I got my 4 factories AFTER they took it away.... *g*
