Well, like most I am tired of the grind, and find it more of a chore than fun. And, NO, I am not grinding for Jedi....I've been playing since launch and old recently made Novice DE (broken anyway), and still have yet to master Artisan profession.

Anyway, had a ton of resources with me, and still do, but since I was unable to make my own factory, I purchased one from a fellow player and set up shop last night....

Since I am a Novice DE, and not yet Master Artisan, I decided anyway to start making Medical Modules for Droids. I came up with a decent schematic, loaded it into the factory along with power, ingrediants, and maintenance and let it start up.....

I sat there in game and watched it chug away 15 medical modules in 15-20 minutes while I was doing other stuff, but noticed I did not gain 1XP whether it was in DE profession, or Artisan profession. Is this right? I didn't expect tons of point, but maybe a percentage of crafting XP....

Do I not get any points from a factory? Do I only get them when I stop the factory and empty the hopper?

Just a little confused on my 1st factory...

I noticed this also.....but I was using somone elses factory. I haven't had a chance to build a factory yet and try again to see if it gives crafting xp ( maybe I'll trying if I can get enough ap xp to master a prof)

I've heard that other crafters get about 10% of the crafting XP when using a factory. However, I'm not sure if it was general crafting XP or specific to armor crafting XP.

You are supposed to get a percentage of the xp IF you are online and IF you are a certain distance from the factory. That is how it was set up, but I don't know if its working.....

I do know that my non-artisan Ranger set down some factories for an Artisan and I suddenly showed Armorsmithing and Droid Crafting xp on my xp monitor, even though the number was 0, so I wonder if the xp goes to the owner of the factory or the user.......

I think its lame to require identical components from factory crates for some schematics but not give us full xp for it, but that is an old, long gone, dead horse and kicking it more seems.....wrong.

Oh that stinks. I purchased the factory from another player, and while I am making components for myself, he is getting a percentage of crafting XP? And I don't?

Its not who made it, but who places it...that is, who uses the deed. I can't confirm who is getting the xp or how much it is as I have maxed out all of my crafting xp's.....

If you place the factory, you should be fine...
