Not sure if this belongs in here but it seems like the best place to put it.

3/4 days ago I started my factory with all the correct rescources andsub componentsin it on a run of 1000 stims. Just now i come back to it to find its done NOTHING but sit there all this time.I got NO mail saying it was out of resources or any of the sub components. This is REALLY annoying as i have load of people who depend on my vendor for stims and now i have wait another 3/4 days for the run to complete and my vendor is all ready just about out of stims.

I hate to ask this but I've done it more times than I can count: are you sure you started the factory? If you can still scroll up far enough in your chat log (unlikely if that's "3 or 4 days" rather than "0.75 days"), look for when you put the resources/schematic in and check for "Factory activated".

Other than that, I haven't run into a problem with factories stopping, unless they ran out of power or resources, and then I always got the notification mail.

I'll second what sciguy said and add that your customers don't have to wait for the entire run to finish. After a while just stop the factory, take some product out, then start it back up again.

I've learned a little trick- after I'm done with my factory, but before I roll out to do whatever else I'm up to, I always do an /examine (or just double-click) the factory to be sure that the window says that it's actually making something. That way I know it got started and it's actively doing something.
