Just out of curiousity, are you grinding by making crafting tools? Those are the only items I've come across giving this "crafting session ended" problem. Try making survey tools, CDEF weapons, or maybe food/clothes (depending on whether you're going up Engineering or DomArts), until you get the schematic for personal harvesters, and then stick with those.

In this case I think there is a bug afloat. My tool screen closes before I hit assemble a lot of the time. When macroing, same. I have been doing this a while, and it has worked until these little patches.

Just noticed this (i'm a crafter on bria btw)

1) Put 2 crafting tools in your toolbar

2) open one tool and craft anything in practice mode

3) open the second tool and wait until the first one finishes

When the first tool finishes, for some reason it closes and ends any active crafting sessions

This normally wouldn't be bad, but if you're grinding and you are using 2 or more tools and this happens with resources in the resource slots before it's finished, not only does the crafting session end, but you lose all the resources you dragged into the slots

It's extremely aggravating, i can't grind because i have to make sure each of my tools finishes before i open a new one.

The only other option is to let everything craft to your inventory, which creates an entirely HUGE mess in your inventory menu

Macro crafting if you are just grinding to master or whatever level.
Macros can be found at the top of most profession forums to get the holo-grinders in and out of the profession to make way for the true crafters.
Macroing with 2-6 tools will cycle all the necessary practice commands to the end of the combine stages and then open the next crafting tool without ending any session in the generation stage. In fact, with a properly designed macro, you will only ever have to dbl-click the resources once you start the macro and not have to worry about doing anything else or worry about failures in practice mode.

I use 7 tools at a time in my crafting macro with no problems at all. The macro I use only requires that I click the resources nothing else. So I do not have to click assemble or next crafting stage. I got it from the Merchant Faq posted by Draz in the Merchant Forum. The only two things I had to do was change the schematic number and the pauses to allow for how long each item takes so that when it looped back to start the item was done. I have been using this macro for several weeks for different crafting professions with no problem even last night it worked just fine.

i've got another problem with my crafting macro. if i ever select a schematic higher than 127, it always gives me the same item. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I already surrendered a bunch of skills to drop schematics and get the number i need down, but it wasn't enough. I also did a full scan and the usual log/exit game bug fixes.

If you pick a number higher than the maximum schematic, it always gives you the highest item in the list. The schematic numbers depend on what can be crafted with the tool you're using, so if you are using a Food/Chem tool, the draft schematics for camps, crafting tools, harvesters, etc don't count.

Of course, it's possible that the /selectDraftSchematic is using a 1byte integer (which maxes out at 126 unless it's unsigned) but that'd be an incredibly bone-headed,short-sighted design decision.....ok, that might be it.

Can you make that item in something other than a WDG tool? Those still contain every item you have the draft schematic for (even things that should be requiring a structural, food/chem, or armor/clothing tool), which will really send the schematic count into the stratosphere. If you're grinding harvesters, try using a structural tool. For armor, try the armor/clothing tool (although an armor upgrade kit is only available in a WDG tool).

After abandoning craft for a while to get out in the world and see some things, I have opened another (third...blush) account so I could have a crafter. I just started her last night and quickly discovered that I could not use multiple crafting tools at once as I had when I ground through Artisan levels before.

As best I can remember, this happened regardless of what I was making or what crafting tool I was using. My assumption was it was either a nerf I had missed reading about or a result, intentional or unintentional, of the pre-publish download.

Anybody else having this problem consistently? I personally don't use afk macros, but I don't look forward to grinding through elite levels of crafting slowly, waiting for one crafter to eject the product or finish the practice run (it happened with both modes) before I can start another.

I have to put my name on the list. I had an Artisan character several months ago, and just started a second one a few days ago.

Before, I was able to open the General Crafting Tool, craft something, and while waiting for it to finish, open up a second tool and craft another item.

Now, as soon as the first Tool hits zero and produces my item, the crafting tool I have open (the second one) closes, all resources you'veput in disappear, and you get the "Crafting session ended" message.

I'll have to double check if this happened only when the first item was being "practiced" or just every time.

But yeah, I can't seem to use multiple crafting stations now.

I have this same problem with my 7 craft tool macro.as soon as one unit finishes I loose the items that are being inputted in another tool. "The crafting session has ended" aaarrrrggggg!!!

However when i use two craft tools without a macro i don't have this problem regardless what mode the tools are in. I think it has something to do with the pauses. A friend is running the same macro and doesn't have the problem.

Could those who aren't experiencing this bug please post what thier pause times are so that we can see which settings work for us?
