Ok I know nothing about factory operations. I load in power, pay maintanance, load the ingredient with 4k Fiberplast, 14k Steel (to make Fiberplast Panels) now what do i do? Also is this what i need to make for Mabari Chestplates? Thanks for any info, sorry for idiot questions.

You need a schematic. To make a schematic, go to a crafting station and make a prototype of the thing you want to manufacture - except that in the last step instead of selecting "Create prototype item", select "Create manufacturing schematic". This will leave a schematic in your datapad which you can load into your factory.

hey guys,
I was just wondering what is the approximet time for a factory to craft 200 items? or just craft 1? I am using a food factory btw. Thanks

After you start the factory, do an /examine on it, or double click it. It will tell you how many items it is making, what they are, and how long (in seconds) each item will take. If you're making 1000 items that take 112 seconds each, it comes out to:
(1000 * 112) / 3600 = 31.1 hours.
Different items take different amounts of time. General rule of thumb is an item that is more complex or contains more subcomponents will take longer than a simpler item. The highest amount of time I've seen is 280 seconds per piece for armor.

You can see the time per item by examining the factory after you started it, displayed in seconds. This time is 8 * base complexity. The base complexity is listed in the item description in your draft schematics, and also when you select the schematic while crafting. Experimentation raises the complexity of the item (raising the risk for subsequent experiments and increasing the time it takes for the tool to spit out a prototype), but this does not increase the factory time.
Food currently takes anywhere from 32s per item (for low-level things like carbosyrup) to 208s per item (for Master Chef foods like Breath of Heaven). The good news for bulk sales is that the chef revamp currently on TestCenter has reduced the complexity of all foods. The highest complexity I've seen so far (although my TC character is only about 2/3rds of the way through chef) is 15, which wouldwould take120s for each item.
