Thread: We need a way to let us know when resources shift...

I posted this on the Game Guides forums but it got closed, so I'm reposting it here. It's really annoying to place a harverster down, to have the resources shift the next day without me knowing. At least make there someway of telling how long the resource has been there. Also to have a harverster run out of power without me knowing. This is really frustrating.

I agree on both.

Yeh, they should send you an email when the harvester stops. This has been discussed for months though with no real attention from the devs. It's their way of giving you something to do.

On the other hand, yes, it gives you something to do instead of sitting around waiting on your emails. When I first begun a long, long time ago I was against the whole shifting thing. Now I can see why they did it and agree with their methods. It keeps people from sitting on good resources forever.

Only thing you can do is stay on top of it. I usually put enough maintenance in my harvesters for 3 days and check them every 3 days. Therefore if something shifts you're not losing that much in maintenance. Or do what I did and get someone to mine full-time for you so you don't hve to worry about it.

Keep track of how much power and maintenance your harvesters have.

Open your survey tools anywhere on the planet and it will show you whether the resources you were mining on that planet are still there or not.

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...
