Hi all,

I am pretty new to the game, and my first impression is it looks amazing and plays ok. But when i am out hunting, i always got problems finding my way back to the town.

  1. Is there a way to find your way back to the town in a easy way?

  2. Secondly, fleating mobs still can hit you, this a bug?

  3. And how do u send amessage that everyone can hear? I did a / shout message, but none could hear it.

  4. The"status display" a red (health) green (batle Fatigue) and blue (mind??), but when u progress a little in the game the bars do not fully refill them self. Example: The red bar is 4centimeters, but only fills 3,8 centimeters. The last 0,2 centimeters are "black". Maybe i am wrong, but i got a feeling when u making progress, u gain more Health, Fatigue ect. But don't know how to fill those bars completly.

Thats about it, any help or hints would be much appriciated!

Ok, to answer your questions

1) Set a waypoint in town. You can do it multiple ways, either using /waypoint or on the planet map (ctrl-v) or within the datapad (ctrl-d). You can then set the name to whatever you want and activate it whenever you want to go back to town.

2) I'm not sure if i understood this question properly. If you run away from mobs, they certainly can hit you, for a while anyway. Most mobs in the game have ranged attacks.

3) /shout and /yell are commands to make yourself heard to the local area. I'm not exactly sure how far it reaches. Make sure your chatbar is set to spatial.

4) There are 2 different forms of damage that you suffer on your stats. Damage & Wounds. As you fight you'll notice them going down, and have a white background. This will recover over time, or with a stimpack. Wounds build up at a much slower rate, and have a black background. (Your coloured bars might appear shorter if thebrightness is too low). These can be healed either by medics with wound packs, or by sitting in a medical centre or camp and letting them heal naturally.

If you are out hunting often, its usually best to take a few camp kits and heal before your wounds get too high.

Hi all,
I just really sat down to play SWG this weekend for the first time. I decided to pick an artisan class as my main advancement class. After playing all weekend, I was most frustrated with trying to get surveying quests to work. I'm reading here that surveying quests seem to be broken and others are having problems as well. Here are some of the other questions I have:

1. Do I get UXP for wearing clothing (wrinkled pants, shorts, etc) that I make myself or just for others wearing it?

2. How do I know that I'm getting UXP (other than doing nothing but watching my crafting XP increase)? Where does it state it?

3. Do I have to be online to receive it?

4. What about UXP for surveying devices and such that I use?

5. When I experiment with an item during creation, sometimes the name of the item is highlighted yellow. What is the significance of this?

6. How can I tell if I sell an item on the bazaar (and who bought it, etc)? I couldn't figure out a way to tell that my item sold other than noticing that my bank credits increased.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I may be mistaken, but UXP for all items is usually only for other people using your wares. It just trickles in over time without any notification. I don't think you have to be online to get it.

A yellow named clothing item is socketed and can accept looted stat enhancing "gems". All weapon powerups are yellow and can be applied to a weapon (one at a time) by dragging and dropping them onto a non-powered up weapon. A weapon's name becomes yellow when a powerup is applied.

When an item sells on the bazaar you should get an email (Ctrl + E)with the name of the item, it's price, and the person who bought it. You also get an email a week after putting an item up for sale if it does not sell.

It is my understanding that you receive UXP for wearing your own clothes (which you have crafted) and using your own tools. I never tested this, so others will have to confirm.

UXP simply shows up on your skills sheet. You don't receive a notice and you don't have to be online. If you're offline and somebody uses your stuff, your XP will be higher when you next log in.

The only time I have seen a yellow name for an item is for a weapon that has a powerup attached.

Normally, when you sell an item on the bazaar, you receive an in-game e-mail notification. For part of the time this week-end, that system was broken. It was fixed by Sunday evening, at least on my server.

As for UXP in general, I haven't been able to figure it out altogether either. I guess I have received some, but it's kind of hard to tell. I certainly don't depend on it. If I get some, it's dessert.

Go to Kaadara, Naboo for Invest III and IV missions. Check the stickied FAQ on top for SpyNet locations.
